It made me pause, I admit, but then I nodded. Laughed.
Because Dae is a little stupid. She's a bit weak. She's got a few too many problems she hasn't solved just yet.
That's what this story is about. It's about the growth of a character, not just about. About how she becomes strong, more intelligent, fixes herself- that is what this is about. But it's also about me. Because I know my character development is atrocious. I know I leave gigantic plot holes. And i'm trying to fix that. It's about me getting better as an author as well, even if i'm just doing this for fun, in the end. Because even if you're just doing something for fun, you might as well get better while you do it.
Thank you all for commenting. Thank you for being honest, especially when it may make me pause and rethink what i've written. Thank you for for supporting me by reading this book and by reading, because this story's also about you. Because, in the real world, not everyone is beautiful or crazy intelligent or a 10th dan black belt in a martial art. Not everyone has or will achieve what they want in life, but everyone is their own person whether they like it or not. And, in the end, everyone is always trying to get their own happy ending no matter what it takes, aren't they?
Trust me, this story will have a happy ending.
