Once a A-list actor, Basil Karlo turned to a life of crime after trying to kill the cast and crew of a movie that he did not get the role in. Before he could kill anyone he was apprehended by the original Batman. Soon after he gained the powers of a shape shifting clay monster. He then used the persona of a villain that he played in one of his old movies. Clayface. From then on he has made it his career to kill Batman.
