Part 6 : black eye

Gabby's pov:
I got home at the speed of light. I'm pretty sure I got a speeding ticket or two on the way back, I was praying that he didnt get home before I did. There is no telling to what he would to me. As I reach the front door my hands were shaking. The lights were on he got here before I did. I stood there thinking of any valid excuse. I put the jacket's hoodie up to cover my hair and neck since I didn't have a scarf with me. I loved the hijab but I wasn't ready to wear it full time yet. He would easily be able to get a whiff of alcohol and vomit off of me. I was screwed. I went anyway ready to face my destiny.he asked me where I was yelling, stomping his feet very angrily, making a fist with his hands.
"I took the car and worked for Uber for a while" I say nonchalantly trying to calm him without reacting and "whats that smell beer and..."he says even more furious approaching
I thought to myself you would know but I couldn't dare say it out loud I didn't have a death wish. "One of the passengers I had was coming home from a bar and they also pucked in the car" I say trying to revert his attention to the car part offering evidence I was not drinking. He didn't say a word and just approached me he was so much bigger than me.towering over me. He nods and I think that's the end of it but before I could go to my room. I feel my self get knocked back to the ground and he just kept hitting me with so much rage and all I could think of at this moment was. How can someone do this to their own child. Why did I still love him even though he was never truly a dad to me. He judged me for everything yet he sells children , drugs ,steals and kills hell I was sure he was going to kill me one day it was a matter of when. I'm pretty sure I passed out or blacked out because the next thing I remember is walking up the next day with a nasty throbbing headache and black eye with a bunch of bruises and cuts. I look around wincing in pain as I stand up he was no where to be found. I just find a message on my phone telling me to next time ask for permission to work as a driver and that it's a man's job. if he only knew what I really did for a living. Now I think to myself how the hell am I going to go to work with a black eye. I text Sullivan asking her if rookies can have personal days off shift before probation is over.
"Obviously not😒" he sends
And with that I grab every concealer and color corrector I got.
POV ends
Robert walks up cuddling Andy she was still sleeping peacefully. He gets up carefully to avoid walking her and goes to the bathroom to take a shower , make breakfast and etc. Andy is awakened by the sound of the water running
Andy's POV
I walk up with the worst headache , I've ever felt. My whole body was throbbing. I cursed myself for allowing me to drink this much. I grunted in pain I got off bed. I couldn't remember much of last night. How the hell did I get home or get changed and in bed, I thought maybe Robert came to Shaw's after his meeting with Richard was done? I got downstairs to grab some water and Advil.some pieces and bits were coming back to me like that guy who was trying to take me home and gabby punching him. But I was still bewildered as to how I got home.
POV ends
Robert comes downstairs fully dressed and showered while sat on the kitchen counter shugging water and Advil hoping it will magically cure her hangover while still in pjs.
"hey " he says going over to her and kissing her forehead.
She puts the water bottle Down and wraps her arms around his neck." Can you please tell me what the hell happened last night" says with demanding tone
"Well you got super drunk I'm guessing to avoid thinking and dealing with ur mom and Lopez had to drive you home"
"Oh god no...damit " she says covering her face ashamed
"What's wrong " he says holding her by the arms making her look at him
" I throw up in her car and on her" she says very embarrassed face getting red and all " it's all coming back to me" she says closing her eyes and making a face of regret
"Babe I know you're going through a lot with your mom and Lopez understands she was truly there for you as friend and didn't get mad she told me I should give you a break. She was fully defending and everything but I do think you should process you mom's situation in a healthy way by talking about it. I'm here but if you want maybe like professional or..." before he could finish his sentence she cuts him off with kiss slamming her lips against kiss then goes to hugs him tightly
"I wanna talk about my issues with you if that ok.. I just don't think I'm capable of doing that with a stranger"
Robert just hugs her back tightly with his muscular arms
Making her feel safe "I can do that" he says kissing head while caressing her hair still hugging her with his other arm
" you better go get ready tho we are gonna be late" he says
Making her chuckle
I'm gonna make you something for your hungover

At the station
Gabby comes in with Like two pounds of concealer on covering the black eye but she couldn't figure out way to cover the scratches on her face and just hoped no one would ask.
Andy spots and decides she needs to thank her
"I can't say this enough but I appreciate everything you need for me last night. You kept me safe ,cleaned by puke off the living room and consoled my crying ASS sincerely thank you .you're a wonderful friend"
Hearing the word friend made gabby very happy. For most of life her dad isolated her from school.she didn't have many people she concerned her friends just conrad who she is been friends with since she was 14 ."it's nothing you probably would've done the same thing for me or any other girl it's cool we're cool. You're wonderful friend too.
Gabby says trying not to make it awkward she wasn't used to being praised
"Hey what's up with the scratched face was it the dude from last night....." Andy says confused since she couldn't remember the guy touching gabby

STATION 19 LADDER 19 AID CAR 19 "POOL ACCIDENT"
"To be continued " Andy says
Everyone gets in their respective places and they reach the incident. It was a power line feel into to the pool while a child was in it but luckily the child was still on rubber floaty. The dad doesnt think much and goes in the pool to save his child but gets electrocuted.
Maya: our property now is to get the child out first since I don't think the dad is gonna make it
The mom: what noooooo MIKEE
She yells
Gabby was getting emotional seeing the scene ahead
Maya:Miller and warren get the power line safely out, Herrera and Gibson this to drag the child out on the floaty.
The rest of you stay alert for any changes.
Herrera and Gibson get the child safely out and Miller and dean out the power line out
Maya: let's test the water for any electrical activity before attempting to get the dad out
The mom was grateful to be reunited with her child safely
Travis: captain no electrical activity it's safe
They couldn't reach the dad from outside the pool
Maya:I'm sending one of you in we can't reach this guy and there is no time to fish him out... Lopez you're up
Lopez:me!
Sullivan: probie gear up
Lopez goes and get in the swimming equipment quickly and get the guy out since she was out she removes her oxygen tank while they were rescuiting the guy he wakes up and accidentally pushes Lopez into the pool.
Everyone laughs finding it quite funny how she was pushed
The mom was grateful to have her kid and husband safe and alive
Gibson hands Lopez a towel
I guess she forgets up her bruised up face and wipes her face harshly.
Sullivan: good job lop..
He stops when he sees her black eye
Gabby: thanks
Sullivan motions to her pulling her aside. She was still confused still not figuring out she removed her makeup
The team takes notice to her bruised up face
"Who did this" he says
"Did what" she notices how the team and him are looking at her and remembers her black eye
"It's nothing I'm fine
Shouldn't we transport the victims " she says
Andy comes up to her really concerned
"Was it the guy I don't remember him hitting you ?"
"Um.. not I just tripped... clumsy me....I.I.I.. need to go"
"There is no way she got a black eye and scratches from a fall"
Gabby gets into the truck avoiding everyone
On the way back to the station Andy sat next to her trying to make her open up
