Part 23 : A man I had no claim over

Andy and gabby were restocking the rig when gabby finds Anna's purse. "I'm gonna go give this back to her," gabby says rolling her eyes.
"You could just give it to a nurse or something or I could go" Andy suggests. Gabby just shoots her a look. "Oh let me guess you're using it as an excuse to..."Andy teases. "Yup now shut it" gabby snaps back.
Gabby's POV
I grab her purse and make my way into the hospital. I tried my best to have good Intentions. "Maybe he didn't tell me because it was a long time ago and he was dumb and stupid" I thought to myself. "She is his ex nothing else and it's horrible of me to assume anything about him. He always gives me the benefit of the doubt." I kept telling myself.
I walked to the nurse station and asked for Anna. The patient who came in with abdominal pain. And they gave me her room number and I made my way to it. The door was cracked a bit so I didn't think to knock. I pushed the door and a bit and here they were kissing. I scoff and tears gathered in my eyes. My heart shattering "how stupid was I" I thought. I don't know how long a stood there but once he noticed my presence he called out for me "gabby...wait" but I just turned and ran. I was the maniac running through the hospital halls with tears running across my face. But then I feel my arm getting grabbed and I'm shoved into a supply room. My back pushed against the wall. Him and I were standing centimeters away. "WHAT THE HELL" I yell as I push his perfectly toned chest further away from me but he doesn't budge. "Hear me out please" he pleads.
"It doesn't matter" I reply make. I was so hurt my heart was beating out of my chest. My legs felt weak. "It does to me Cecilia and you know I've changed since I reverted " he replies in a soft gentle tone. " not Cecilia anymore...It's not like we're together... or like we're close you didn't tell me about her....you're ex-fiancée and your sins are yours to worry about " every bit of that statement hurt to say I couldn't hide the pain in my voice or face. His gaze making me even weaker. "Cmon of course we're close. You're the closest person to me" he says hurt my statement. It sucked that could read him well and so did he. "Listen gabby when I was 16 in Catholic school i was saving myself or marriage and all that so when I liked her I proposed but we clearly didn't get married and she is a figement of my past" he says
he wasn't lying but it's the fact that once he realized he liked her he proposed so did that mean he didn't like me but i loved him. Before I could reply or say anything. Dr. Avery storms in. I took it as an opportunity to leave. Andy was anxiously waiting for me outside in the ambulance bay.
"You didn't give the purse back?" She exclaims loudly startling me out of my thoughts. "I..I'm sorry I forgot" I say. I guess she notices the misery on my face and grabs the stupid god damn purse and heads there to give it herself. But not before asking me "what's wrong" which I did respond with "i walked in on them kissing" I say and with that she goes her way And I just climbed inside the aid car and sat there sobbing my god damn eyes like a moron over a man i had no claim over
Gabby pov ends
Andy stormed in the hospital fuming she asked for Anna's Stevens room and literally walked in like she owned the place.
Anna was taken back by her harsh entrance. "Your purse" was all andy said. Before asking her "where is Dr.Hawkins" she asked Anna.
"I have no idea. He went to get my test results" Anna said. "Sure i'll wait here" and with that andy sat down crossing her arms at Anna. "So I guess your here because your friend walked in on me kissing him..he just gave me good news and I kissed him.. He didn't even kiss me back plus i'm married and apparently pregnant and it was just the drugs" Anna mumbled on. "Firstly she is my sister secondly so he didn't kiss you?" was what concerned andy.
"He is in love what you sister it's obvious that way he was looking at her when she brought me in and also she is wearing his late mother's necklace...its the only.thing he has left from her and it's clear she loves him too...i'm sorry if I complicated things it's the hormones and pain meds" Anna mumbles even more
Gabby radios andy "we got a call downtown let's go". "Coming"
Meanwhile at the firehouse
Elena shows up asking clueless VIC for andy and gabby.
"They're out on a call but you could wait, who are you?" VIC asks professional
"I'm Elena a relative" she lies
Vic knew that they hated their mother but she didn't know their mother was Elena. None of the team had seen her before not even Robert so when she came in. They all welcomed her with open arms. Vic didn't even tell them her name, Elena. She just said a relative of Andy and gabby was visiting.
Meanwhile
Andy is driving the aid car and gabby is lost deeply into her thoughts.
"Please talk to me" andy pleaded
"He proposed to Anna in high school because he liked her" gabby says sternly
Andy wasn't following what was the problem with that
"So if he really loved hell even liked me she wouldn't have waited this long to say anything.."
"Look man anna said she kissed him and he didn't even kiss her back and your necklace.." andy looks at her
"He gave it to me what about it"
Gabby asks holding it close her
"It was his mothers and the only thing he has left of her and he gave it to you not anna, " andy says
