i'll bear it in mind that
the sky is out of reach,
and the scent of your perfume
has always been this sweet,
the branches on the old fig
tree are now growing weak,
but i'll tell you it's not all that painful, like my parents said to me.

i've always thought how would
it feel to have someone's
shoulder on which i could lean,
it seems like delusion or
my greatest daydream,
i don't know if sitting in
the rain can get you clean,
but i'll tell you the storm
has to come for it to leave.

the doors that i've locked
ever so carefully,
and to bear the burdens
behind them is only up to me,
at least until the night dawns,
i'll have orion and the stars
to keep me company,
because when the light
makes it's way through,
i hope i would have grieved.

i'll bear it in mind
that if i can't fly,
i can still run
barefooted on cold nights,
perhaps, that's the kind of
freedom even the moon can't find,
and perhaps even the stars
wish to touch the ground one time.

but when september's sorrows overwhelms the breeze,
i'll remember that even
orion has it's miseries,
i'll not forget that the
scent of your perfume
has always been this sweet,
and i'll bear it in mind
that the sky is
a faraway friend to me.

A/N : the thing about loneliness is looking for a companion during that time, and you'll find yourself making friends with the most unanticipated ones. this is about that time when i made friends with the sky.
