Lilac's POV:
After Darius and I got back to our hotel room, I insisted that he showered first since I would've taken a long time.
After a few minutes, he walked out of the bathroom while drying his hair with a towel.
He was wearing a simple white t-shirt and a pair of grey sweatpants.
His arm muscle flexed as he moved the towel around, tousling his hair.
My heart skipped a beat.
How can someone be that attractive?
"I'm done. Take your time, alright?" Darius said.
I nodded.
I quickly walked into the bathroom and closed the door.
I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding.
Why does he have so much effect on me?
I smiled to myself.
It's just a dream, but all my emotions here are real.
I hope I don't ever wake up.
The scent of tulips occupied the entire bathroom, a fragrance I had come to love.
After I was finished showering and changing, I took the hairdryer and started drying my hair.
How long has it been?
I hope I'm not taking too long.
When my hair was all dried, I left the bathroom.
My eyes widened at what was happening in front of me.
Darius was holding a bouquet of tulips with a big smile on his face.
"Happy birthday, Lilac. I hope you like the surprise."
He handed the bouquet to me and stepped aside.
Behind him, there were helium balloons of various colours scattered across the room.
There was also a huge teddy bear soft toy on the bed.
"Woah...you did all this?" I gawked at him.
I hugged him and said, "Aw, Darius. Thank you, I love it!"
I was elated.
I pecked him on the cheek and went to look at the gigantic soft toy on the bed.
"This is huge..."
I sat on the bed and hugged the soft toy.
It's so soft...
"Lilac, here."
I turned around to face Darius and watched as he took something out of his pocket.
It was a small jewellery box.
Huh?
He opened it, revealing a dainty silver necklace.
It was in the shape of a butterfly.
My eyes widened.
