No Chance: An Omniverse Story

   Viral was still processing the information he learned. Matthew... his father had noticed that Viral was off. He and Max both asked if he wad okay. He played it off.

   Come nightfall, Vi moved. He grabbed the piece of cloth from the dresser and headed out into the halls. He found Dr. Brilliance right where he was the first time.

   "I got it."

   "Good. Give it here please." Dr. Brilliance held his hand out.

   Viral handed it over carefully. "What are you going to do..?"

   Dr. Brilliance broke into a grin. "Nothing you need to worry about poppet." He turned away. " Whomever possesses this item shall hereby inflict pain and suffering on Matthew Miraculous for the suffering he has caused the Omniverse."

   Viral's gears jolted in his brain. "What!? You can't do that!"

   "I did. Here." Dr. Brilliance shoved the cloth back in Viral's hands. 

   Viral opened his mouth to protest and then froze in place. The enchantment took hold. Virals mind clouded with a magic haze. 

   "Perfect." The voice was distant. 

   "What- Are you doing?" Cypher? A witness...

   "Get him."

   Viral obeyed. 

   "Fath-" The scream was cut off.
