Everyone was on edge, every bit of the town seemed to be coated in dread as the Entity had made a full one-eighty turn and was B lining right towards us. Ford explained to the main Ten, while we went out and would go relay the plans as Pacifica stayed with McGucket mostly to help him seal the crack in the sky, it was a sliver true enough but creatures snuck out as they had blackened the other side with their bodies shutting out the light that had been supplying the town.
" So... we are facing the end. Not just of us but of life itself for everything. Bill only wanted to make us all toys, and this... thing wants to make us mindless drones in his television-like dream world. So far we have all the vehicles finished, their weapon systems are functional but some of you are at about half power. Good work out there taking down the "weird", those creatures keep trying to alter our reality. " Ford smacked the display screen, a small shimmer rippled across it, likely another new invention from McGucket that would outlast most other brands.
" Ya so... why us? I mean I have a guess but... " Robbie would raise his hand above the rest, honestly just a couple of rows of seats but he still didn't like the front of the class so to speak.
" We are the original Ten, the ones of the "Weird" zodiac who are destined to protect this realm. " Ford would click the next slide, showing the Bill Zodiac scan from the original journals, the same one he copied in that cave.
" All of us except Bill... No offense but that Zodiac didn't work without Dipper, right? " Pacifica was blunt but was sure enough honest about not wanting to jab at Bill right off.
" Well see here little missy. " McGucket would waddle his way up beside Ford, his posture has improved a bit as of late making him not as small next to everyone now, but not quite fully straight-backed yet. " Bill is connected to Dipper, the fact he hasn't altered since obtaining a copy of Dipper's body... "
" Woah Woah that is a copy? Not his actual body? " Robbie would interject as Pacifica seemed just as stunned. Gideon would be holding Mabel's hand for support as she gripped tighter making him flinch just for a moment for her pain.
" Well, no... at first we thought maybe Dipper may have been locked away like a body swap sitchiation. " McGucket's hick wording peaking through again funny enough. " But when we scanned him, his skin, his mind... all came back as genuine. He may have the mold, but it's like plastic over rubber, they can take the same shape but are two entirely different things. "
" Oh... I gotcha. " Robbie would sit back almost defeated as it was clear they had also been fighting against the idea Dipper was truly gone still, at least he wasn't alone... I was doing my best to fight the hope because of the pain deep down knowing he was gone.
" So basically what we have here is a case of the final battle. Machine vs alien menace and we are going to go down in a badass flame-like Liberty day! " Stan would chime in as he stepped up beside Ford, who soon was about to correct Stan before he muttered to Ford. " Shut up, it sounds better like this."
" Anyways. " Soos chimed up, walking away from Melody as she held onto Miracle, lovingly swaying her while Soos made his way before everyone, honestly with half of the people standing it felt odd to really call this a presentation anymore. " What we have to do is hope, not just for ourselves for but for the whole town Dudes. We need to fight with everything we got even if we are missing a piece of ourselves. We do this for Dipper, for Gravity Falls! " His hand shot up and he grasped for the sky, sure it was a fist pump, but he turned it into a cheer as we all gave a hoot of agreement.
Once we all had finished, we could already feel the ground shaking as the entity was closing in, the barrier was shifting to mirror a dream bubble almost as to keep anything from coming in still. At the Northwest mansion, Grenda and Candy would man the defense system. The tunnels had revealed their true purpose of being the support for freshly installed tower defenses all around town. Six feet wide metal pillars would rise and transform like out of a cartoon series, forming cannons that had replaced patrols and were keeping the Falls protected now.
