See You Smile - Damien Priest (Request)

Sliding out of the ring you were both frustrated and upset, this was the most important match of your career and you had lost, not because you had failed to beat your opponent but because she had botched a move, caught you of guard and then took advantage.

How the hell she was allowed in the ring you did not know, she was dangerous, that move was a simple one and she never should have botched it, she could have broken your neck but thankfully you had the wherewithal to avoid that happening.

All you wanted to do right now was get back to the locker-room and walk into your boyfriends waiting arms, you needed him right now and he always knew how to make you feel better. However upon entering the locker room your boyfriend is no where in sight, finally giving in to your emotions you sit on the bench and sob, first your match went to hell and now the one person you needed had abandoned you when you needed him most.

"you ok y/n?" Lexi asks sitting beside you

"not really" you sigh "that belt should have been mine and to top it off Damien is no where to be found, I need him and he disappears"

"hey I'm sure he hasn't gone far" she says placing an arm around your shoulder "he's never let you down before, honestly I wish I had a guy that looks at me the way he looks at you, he's crazy about you"

"Yeah? then where is he?" you say "why isn't he here?"

"I'm sure he has a good reason" she smiles

"he had better" you say standing up, peeling yourself out of your ring gear you grab a towel and head to the shower.

As the warm water runs over you, your thoughts stay on Damien, where was he? why would he leave when he knows you'd need him? questions you couldn't answer and that made it hurt even more.

Finishing up in the shower you dry off, pull on some clothes, grab you bag and head out to the parking lot, as you walk through passing row upon row of parked cars the thought crosses your mind to just get in the car and leave him here, see how he likes it.

Just as you turn onto the row your car is parked on you spot him standing right beside your car, when he sees you he gives you that big bright smile you love so much but then his face drops at the sight of you all red and puffy eyed.

Turning your gaze away from him you spot something on the roof of the car beside him, as you get closer you spot a bunch of beautiful amaryllis flowers and a rectangular box next to them. A small smile creeps onto your face and suddenly it's not as easy to stay mad at him.

When you reach him he immediately wraps you up in his arms and kisses the top of your head, you bury your face into his muscular chest and sigh.

"Where did you go?" you ask "I needed you and you weren't there"

"I'm sorry baby" he soothes "I saw what happened and I knew you'd be upset so I wanted to do something to make you feel better"

"The flowers are beautiful thank you" you say leaning up and pressing a gentle kiss to his lips

"well I know there are three things that make you truly smile, me obviously" he smirks "amaryllis and these" he says opening the box to reveal six of your favourite black forest cupcakes

"oh my gosh thank you so much baby" you say practically salivating at the sight of the cupcakes

"there it is" he smiles

"there's what?" you ask

"that beautiful smile of yours" he says "that's why I did this, my girl should always have that beautiful smile on her face, I don't ever want to see you frown or cry"

"I love you" you say throwing your arms around his neck and hugging him tightly

"I love you too" he says pressing a kiss to your neck "I'm sorry I wasn't at the locker room, but I would never let you down, I will always be there for you when you need me"

 As you stand there holding each other close you can hardly believe you ever doubted this man, he was the sweetest man you had ever known, and the fact that he had gone to all this trouble just to see you smile made you love him even more.
