16 ~~EXT. NEW YORK STREET-AFTERNOON~~ 16

Y/n is walking down the street when she sees a newspaper vendor.

It has the same newspaper plastered over and over.

It's one of the Daily Bugle's and its headline says, "New Villain in Town, Dr. Octopus".

Y/n frowns and walks closer to it.

She peels it from the vendor and holds it in her hands.

VENDOR SALESMAN
You have to pay for that, you know.

Y/n jumps and looks at the vendor salesman.

Y/N
Yes, I know. I was just...looking.

VENDOR SALESMAN
Well, you don't have to touch it to look at it.

Y/N
I know, I was just-you know what? Fine. I'll buy it, okay? Here.

Y/n hands him some money as the vendor salesman smirks.

VENDOR SALESMAN
Enjoy your paper.

Y/n rolls her eyes and keeps walking, now holding the newspaper in her hands.

17 ~~INT. HALLWAY OF PETER'S APARTMENT BUILDING~~ 17

Y/n is climbing the stairs of Peter's apartment building.

She reaches the top of the landing when someone bursts out of a room.

MR. DITKOVITCH
Where's my money?!

Y/n gives a startled look.

MR. DITKOVITCH
Oh. Sorry. Say, you don't live here.

Y/N
No, I don't. I'm just here to see someone.

MR. DITKOVITCH
Well, alright.

He begins walking back into his room when he turns around.

MR. DITKOVITCH
I have a room available if you are looking for a place to stay. Then, you can visit that person whenever you want. The rent isn't too bad.

Y/N
Uh no thanks. I already live somewhere.

MR. DITKOVITCH
Suit yourself.

He then went back into his room.

Y/n sees a girl in the room.

The girl sees y/n and smiles.

Y/n smiles back as Mr. Ditkovitch shuts the door.

Y/n continues walking and stops in front of a room.

She's about to knock on the door when it suddenly opens.

Peter is standing there.

He gives a shocked expression when he sees y/n standing there.

PETER
Y/n? What are you doing here?

Y/N
I just thought I'd drop by. Can I come in?

PETER
Uh sure.

Peter steps to the side as y/n comes in.

18 ~~INT. PETER'S APARTMENT~~ 18

Peter shuts the door and notices the newspaper under y/n's arm.

PETER
Is that today's paper?

Y/n looks at the newspaper under her arm.

She grabs it and hands it to Peter.

Y/N
Yeah. Have you seen the headline?

Peter reads the headline.

Y/N
I've never even heard of this guy. I mean, where did he come from?

PETER
He's a scientist. His real name is Otto Octavius.

Y/N
Otto Octavius? Say, isn't that the guy you're writing a paper on? The one Harry said he was going to have you meet?

PETER
Yeah. I did meet him. Wait, how do you know about that? I never told you.

Y/n starts blushing and becomes fidgety.

Y/N
Oh, well, at your birthday party, I was sort of listening to your conversation with Harry.

Peter smiles and chuckles.

PETER
Oh. I see.

Y/N
So you did meet him?

PETER
Yeah. He was just a regular guy.

Y/N
Well, so was Harry's father.

PETER
Yes, but this is different. Octavius is one of my idols. He's not a villain. He just let his dream take control over his senses.

Y/N
Well, we still have to do something about him. What should we do?

PETER
I don't know. I guess we have to wait and see what he does first. Then, we make our move.

Y/n nods her head.

Y/N
Hey, did your powers come back?

PETER
I didn't try the webbing, but everything else seems to be working.

Y/N
That's good. Let's hope it stays that way. Or better yet, comes back completely. Well, I'll go and leave you alone. See you around, Parker.

Y/n starts walking away.

PETER
Y/n, wait.

Y/n turns around.

PETER
I'm going to the bank right now with Aunt May. Do you want to come along?

Y/N
Sure, if I'm not intruding on your personal business or anything.

PETER
Oh no. It's fine. It actually has to do with Aunt May. The bank is trying to foreclose her house. So, what she's going to try and do is refinance it with my uncle's life insurance, and see if that works.

Y/N
That's terrible. I hope it does work, but if it doesn't I'll do everything that I can to help. I don't work at the bank though, so I guess I can't do much.

Peter chuckles.

PETER
Well, thank you anyways. I'm sure Aunt May will appreciate your help. Alright, let's go.

Peter sets the newspaper down on his bed as y/n opens the door.

She and Peter step out and Peter shuts the door behind them.
