Lyla's POV
"All right, let's, uh, let's gather around." Mr. Schue says as he walks into the choir room
"Sorry I'm late, guys. I was with Principal Figgins. Bad news, guys. Puckerman's in juvie." Mr. Schue tells us
"It really was just a matter of time." I say
"What did he do?" Quinn asks
"He drove his mom's Volvo through the front of a convenience store and drove off with the ATM." Mr. Schue says causing Britanna to laugh
"And when is he getting out?" Rachel asks
"Unknown." Mr. Schue says
"He might be the dumbest person on this planet, and that's coming from me." Brittany says
"You're not dumb, babe. You just...you have a special view on things. And that makes you special." I whisper to her causing her to smile sweetly at me
"Guys! Let's have some sympathy." Mr. Schue says
"For a guy who put his needs before the team's? We need his voice and his bad-boy stage presence." Finn says
"We can't look at this as, as a crisis. It's an opportunity." Mr. Schue says
"For what? Further embarrassment and humiliation?" Quinn asks
"For welcoming our new member...Sam Evans!" Mr. Schue announces before Sam jogs into the choir room
He locks eyes with me as soon as he stops in front of all of us and his smile grows even bigger as I smile sweetly at him
"There he is." Mr. Schue says
"How's it going?" Sam asks as he shakes Mr. Schue's hand
"Hey, everybody. I'm Sam. Sam, I am...and I don't like green eggs and ham." Sam says causing me to giggle as I give him a thumbs up causing him to chuckle
"Oh, wow. He has no game." Santana says unimpressed
"Okay! This is gonna be great. You're not going to regret joining, Sam." Finn says as he walks over to Sam and shakes his hand
"Oh, good." Sam says
"Sam, you sit right here." Finn says as he points to the chair beside his
Sam looks up at me and I make my best pouty face as I point to the empty chair next to me
"Sorry, man, I'm gonna go sit by my best friend." Sam says with a big smile
"Your what?!" Mike exclaims dramatically
"Calm down, Mikey boy." I say with a small giggle as Sam sits down beside me
"Sharing is caring." I tell Mike
"Just remember, buddy, I'm the number one guy in her life." Mike says with a serious face before he cracks a smile causing all three of us to laugh
"All right! Question for the group. What's a duet?" Mr. Schue asks us
