Lyla's POV
I spent most of the summer with Sam, but once he left I felt unbearably lonely so when Jake called for the millionth time I finally gave in and took him back. It took him less than two weeks to return to his old habits and start putting his hands on me again. But I'm still with him because maybe he's as good as I'm gonna get. However, I started hanging out with Quinn more and one day, Quinn and I dyed our hair and we started hanging out with the skanks of McKinley, Quinn loved it, I didn't mind them but I missed glee, I missed Rachel's unwanted opinions, I really missed Mikey, and I even began to miss the Cheerios

"LJ Hudson! You're looking different! Hubba Bubba!" I hear JBI exclaims as he appears at my locker before Jake and I are met with a camera, microphone and JBI in our faces causing me to let out a groan
"Twitter says you're left heartbroken after Sam Evans, A.K.A. Trouty Mouth, A.KA. Hobo McBieber moved away." JBI says
"Is it true Jake is just your rebound?" He asks causing me to let out a sigh because yes, I am heartbroken that my favourite person moved to Kentucky, and I'd do anything to have him back, but I had to move on
"No, I'm not heartbroken, Jake and I are very happy together!" I lie as I hold up my hand which is interlocked with Jake's
"Yeah, Lybug and I are happy, so get lost loser." Jake tells him with a smirk
"Twitter thinks she's just with you to get over that Trouty Mouth." JBI tells Jake
"Sam and I never even dated. We were just friends, that's all." I say trying to make my feelings for Sam seem like nothing
"And are you still friends?" JBI asks
"Of course we are. We talk all the time." I say earning my hand a rough squeeze from Jake
"Ow." I whisper as I look up at him
"Alright, we're done here." Jake says before he pulls me away from JBI and his cameraman
"Wait! I didn't get to ask you your future plans!" JBI yells after us
"You still talk to him?" Jake asks as he drags me into an empty classroom
