The day we met | Dean Portman x reader

~ Chapter 9 ~

The next day, was the day you played Iceland. The team ate breakfast together, and got warmed up. The team went to the locker room and got ready. You, Dean, and Fulton are quietly talking about last night. Coach walked in the locker room in a suit and tie with his hair held back with gel. The team began to complement him on his appearance. He sits at a table grabbing papers while Dean and Fulton go up behind him and began talking to him. The team got on the ice and began to to skate around. Averma talked to Goldberg as if he was a news reporter.

Hi, everybody. Welcome to today's game. This is a very important matchup, team U.S.A. against Iceland, in what could be a preview of the championship game.
Iceland, coached by Wolf "the dentist" stansson. He'll be taking on Gordon Bombay.

"Dean, come here" you say
"Yes, princess?" He asked
"I love you." You say
"I love you too." He said
The game began and Dean went to knock the guy down. The whistle blows.
*this can't be good* you thought
"Come on, fool! Get up!" Dean said
"You ran at him unprovoked." Said the ref
"Huh?" Dean said accidentally making the ref not knowing he was there.
"Calm down, son. You're out of the game." The ref said
"Give me a break!" Dean said while the refs escorted him out the rink.
"YOU CANT DO THAT! ITS ONLY THREE SECONDS INTO THE GAME!" You and your dad yell. I could tell Dean was mad. He's been looking forward to playing these guys and they took him out three seconds into the game. The game continued and Iceland makes the first goal. The game is back and forth. Luis got the puck while I was behind him. Iceland tripped Luis and came after me next. I went around to help Luis up.
"Come one ref. Call something." Luis said sounding kind of pissed. Coach soon put Kenny in. Once, he got in he tried to move the puck but two big guys closed in on him. Causing him to fall.
"Hey, man, what the fuck is your problem?!" I say pissed because Ken was a bit injured. I pushed him down.
"You pushed down an unprovoked player. You're out of the game." Said the ref
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?" You say
"You can't throw her out!" Said dad. I get excoriated out. While I'm on my way to the locker room. I see Christian walking to the snack bar.
"Hey, (y/n)." Chris said
"Hey" you say
"Sorry you got out." He said
"Eh it's fine." You say
"Maybe I could cheer you up by taking you out Ylater?" He asked
"Im speechless, look Chris I don't wanna seem rude but I have a boyfrien-" you say before someone put their are around you.
"Yeah, she has a boyfriend. It's me not go." Said the person. His voice sounded very familiar. You look up to see that it's John. You take his arm off of you.
"No he's not. My boyfriends in the locker room." You say
"(Y/n), what are you talking about. I'm your boyfriend you can't leave me." John said.
"The hell I can. See you around Chris." you say while pushing John out the way causing him to fall and going to the locker room. You walk into the locker room to see that Dean is punching the table.
"Hi." Dean said while he looked at you tiredly.
"I know how you feel, babe." You say while taking you stuff off and change into your normal clothes.
"Guess who's here in Cali?" You say
"Who?" He said
"John" you say. His face gets red with envy.
"How do you know, princess?" He asked
"He flirted with me while I talked to a friend and said he was my boyfriend." You say
"Oh hell naw" he said
"No, but it's okay. I got him. Him pushed him, knocked him down and walked right over me like the trash he is." You say
"Yes. That's my princess." He says

~ time skip to the end of the game ~

"12-1. 12 to 1. You know what word comes to mind when you think of that? PATHETIC! You guys were brought here to play hockey." Coach said
"What about you?" Jesse asked
"What about me, Jesse." Said coach
"Coach Stansson know everything about us. They were ready for us." Said Connie
"And you spend your time driving around in convertibles talking to all those sponsor fools." Said Luis
"Or hanging with the Iceland lady. We saw you two Saturday night." Fulton said
"Eating ice cream with the enemy, huh, Coach?" Said Dean
The team began muttering about what they heard.
"Hey. Hey, what I do is none of your business. Is that clear?" Said coach
"No." You say
"I'm sorry what (y/n)." He said
"I said no. It's not clear. You really thought that hanging out with the Iceland lady was none of our business? How do you think she knew everything about you? Where your from, how old you are? When we're you going to tell me? Were you even going to tell me? Hmm? I'm your GOD DAMN DAUGHTER! I NEED TO KNOW THESE THINGS!" You say before getting interrupted.
"(Y/n) Lower your ton-" Bombay said
"IM NOT DONE! EVER SINCE WE GOT HERE YOU CHANGED TO A DIFFERENT MAN! IM SICK OF IT!" You say
"I'm doing what's right for the team, you understand?" He said
"The best you can? Really? Your never here with us. With me." You say
The room is quiet for a while.
"I'm done, I'm out of here." You say grabbing you bag and head for the door.
"(Y/n), where the fell do you think your going?" He said
"Away from you!" You say going out the door. "Dean, you're dressed go get my daughter and bring her in here." He says
"I think it's better to just let her cool down. But I'll still go to make sure she's safe." Dean said grabbing his jacket and walking out.

~ time skip to the next morning ~

You and the team have class. You and Dean are the only ones awake while everybody is sleeping.
"You two are the only ones awake, so what's up?" Asked Ms. MacKay
"Coach had them practice till three in the morning." Said Dean
"Were you two at practice?" She asked
"No, me and Captain Blood got into an argument for him hanging out with the Iceland lady and things got heated so I left before practice." I said
"What about you Dean?" She asked
"I left with her to make sure she was safe." He said
"Oh okay, are you too?" She said
"Yes we are." I said
"Okay, I'm canceling practice and you guys are dismissed. Help me wake them up." MacKay said
