Epilogue

-59 years later-

The echoing sound of the heart monitors beating against the dulled out room was everything he could focus his hearing to. The words circling around in the room by the ones who were closest to him throughout all these years

But even so, he felt his weak body only listen to the beating sound of his time

"Grandpa, are you going to go?"

He heard the small voice of Jimins and yoongis 6 year old grandson. Seated on the so comfortable mattress of his hospital bed with his so warm, little hand clutching into his own. The roughness of his skin being held so tightly

He turned his head slightly, feeling his breathing hitch against his throat. Feeling himself lose control of his own way to breathe, finding it hard to let his weight of his own body lay on him as he found the eyes of the little boy

His eyes gleaming with tears as he laid his small head against his own hand, he tried with the last of the life he had in him to let his hand reach out to him, letting it rest on the side of his cheek. Wiping his little tears away as a weak smile painted Jungkooks lips

"Yeah, I need to go"

His voice was just as hoarse, but it was still him. It was still Jungkook. And when his hand fell limp to his side his eyes letting themselves rest on the high ceiling he couldn't help the weak smile on his lips as he took a sharp breath for the last time

"It's time for me to go home"

The dark haired found himself at the place where his mind would drift to every second of his days alive. The place where a smile he would never let his mind forget would be making him feel like everything else didn't matter

Because here at camp, even when he didn't want to ever set his foot here that time, a person made him want to stay there forever

He found himself young again, the material of his leather jacket brushing against his warm skin as his dark hair fell over his forehead while his feet lead him to the outside wall of the cabin

His eyes resting on the name 'Taehyung' written in red spray paint on the cabin wall, the memories of that day making a small smile rest on his lips

His fingers came up slowly, his feet moving towards the written out name that seemed to slowly had faded as his skin caressed the letters. One by one

"You almost got me busted for that, that day"

His head had never spun around that fast, and his eyes had never pained as much when they landed on the grinning blue haired before him. His blue haired

He couldn't feel the way his eyes had started to glimmer among the night as his softened eyes stared at the one he thought he would never see again. The one he waited everyday to see again

So he took a step forward, arm reaching out to be able to Touch him. Touch that stupid blue hair

"Tae.."

He whispered out, fingers buried in the others, oh so soft hair locks as he watched the grinning boy before him. He was just as he was in camp, they both were just as back then

The yearning in him and the way just that small touch made his whole presence feel like it was gone, made Jungkook pull the others head so it was resting in the crook of his neck. their longing arms wrapping around each other like it was the last time they would say goodbye. But not this time was it. Now they were here, here again. And with their sweet smell of one another that had not changed, made them want to stay here forever

"You promised you wouldn't leave me idiot"

The dark haired whispered against the other's blue hair, arms tightening around him as tears had started welling up in both of their longing eyes

"I never left you, I was just waiting for you"

Jungkook pulled away at the other's soft voice against his neck, before his hands cupped the others teared face in his. Staring into those eyes he had wished to see one more time. He smiled to the other, letting their foreheads rest against one another as Taehyungs hand came up to caress his jaw softly

"You're home now, kook"

The blue haired whispered, a smile caressing his teared face as their eyes stayed on each other. Jungkook letting his lips rest on the other, On his star. they both matched each others smile

"Yeah, I'm finally home"
