"...Hi Mom." Y/N forced a smile onto her face.

Y/N's mother sat in shock for a second before moving over, allowing Y/N to step inside. Y/N did, hesitantly so, as she still felt like it was wrong to be there.

"Do you want tea?" Her mother spoke up.
"Yes please." She answered.

Y/N's mother guided her over the kitchen table as she went to make the tea she had offered.

"How are you?" Y/N's mother forced herself to speak as she sat down the the cups in hand.

"I've..been good I guess." Y/N answered, awkwardly nodding.
"That's good." Her mother mumbled.

"Is..is dad here?" Y/N took a deep breath before asking, almost as if she were scared to hear the answer.

Her mother's eyes dashed to her hand, Y/N followed her line of sight to her hand.

Her ring finger was bare.

"We got a divorce a year ago." Her mother clarified.
"Oh..I'm sorry I asked." Y/N mumbled, taking a sip of the tea.

"So..do you have the..the uh.." Her mother tried motioning to her no longer pregnant stomach by making a bump motion with her hands.

"Yes I have a two year old son. His name is Haru. He is bring raised perfectly happy and healthy..no thanks to you guys." Y/N couldn't help but slip that last part in there, still a bit bitter about being kicked out by her own parents.

"Honey, that was your father's choice. You know that." Her mother said.
"You didn't protest, nor did you try to reach out once you got a divorce." Y/N quickly bit back.

Her mother stayed silent, staring at her hands that held the mug for awhile.

In all honesty, Y/N didn't want to argue. She came to forgive and forget. But it seems forgetting is a lot harder than forgiving. Someone could completely forgive someone and think everything is okay but at the end of the day they will always remember why they had to forgive in the first place. Sometimes there is no choice but to accept that and try move on as is, pain and all.

"Is the father.."
"He left awhile ago but recently came back. However I will not be getting back with him because I'm in a relationship with someone I love very much." Y/N explained, slightly blushing as she said it aloud.

Y/N's mother took note of this and couldn't help but smile.

As a mother, she couldn't help but be proud that her daughter is happy. No matter how much she messed up or failed, a mother is able to focus more on the good things because it brings joy to see a child succeed. A feeling Y/N now knew all too well.

And so they ended up talking as if Y/N had never been kicked out and they both found themselves smiling, enjoying themselves even.

Y/N was happy to talk to her mother and vise versa however they could tell things weren't exactly the same.

They were able to keep conversations going and be happy yet there was a bit of a barrier between them now. After all, she had been forced out of her house by the people she called family.

"Uhm, this is going to sound really rude but..I kind of came here for a reason." Y/N started.
"What? Is everything alright?" Her mother asked.
"Not really..you see, it's been pretty hard with school, my job, and taking care of Haru. And somehow, I am currently having a bit of a money shortage.." She mumbled feeling embarrassed to even say it out loud.

Y/N had hoped next time she saw her parents she would be successful and living without the help of anyone. She wanted to prove them wrong. She needed to prove them wrong. If Y/N couldn't live on her own with her child she would feel ashamed to even see them again, yet here she was, telling her mother about her money problems.

"Ok..." Her mother nodded, seeing the direction it was headed in.
"I was wondering..if you could maybe watch Haru during the daytime? I really can't afford the nanny anymore and I think I want to take extra shifts. My boyfriend could probably take care of him after school but we are both in school still so he can't during the day. I promise once school is out I will not bother you anymore about my problems." Y/N asked all in one breath, standing up and abruptly bowing in the process.

Her mother sat there a bit wide eyed, she had assumed her mother came for money, yet all she wanted was a babysitter?

I guess it's true what they say, it's always the kindest who have the worst problems.

Here she is, bowing for her to be a babysitter like it is the hardest thing in the world. She could have asked for money, or for a house, but no. She asked for a babysitter, and yet she's acting like she's asking for too much.

Y/N's mother let out a small laugh, Y/N furrowed her brows in confusion.

"Of course I will." Her mother agreed.
"Thank you, I'm sorry for making you help me." Y/N sat back down.

Y/N really is an honest hardworking person.

Her mother warmly smiled at her as Y/N continued drinking her tea.

When your child turns out like that, you can't help but smile, because you created a beautiful person.

"I'm home." Y/N tiredly called out as she took off her shoes.
"Heyy Bread-chan." Tendou sang. "Where were you?"
"My moms house." She sighed.
"You mean the one's that kicked you out..?" Ge asked tilting his head.
"Yeah. Be any more insensitive why don't ya?" Y/N sarcastically offered.
"Sorry. Anyways how'd it go?" He asked, sitting on the couch with her.

"It was..surprisingly good. I thought when I got there, I would only feel hate, but instead I was relieved she didn't hate me. Of course I couldn't help but remember all my emotions that day and I was a little upset, but overall it was nice. We talking for a bit and we came to an agreement." Y/N explained, as she laid on Tendou's lap, letting his slender fingers play with her hair.

"Hmm. And what was that?" He hummed.
"She's going to babysit while I'm at school. I'm going to fire Mina-san. I can't afford her anymore." She answered.
"Why can't I watch Haru?" He asked, furrowing his brows.
"You have school Satori." She rolled her eyes.
"Oh..why can't I drop out and be a househusband." He pouted slightly.
"You need education, and plus we aren't even married." She lightly chuckled.
"I can fix that." He mumbled, smirking like an idiot.
"What?"
"Nothing!"
