After they left I went up to my room. Curling into a corner of the bed wrapping my arms around my knees.
Tears sting my eyes as my mind went to another place.
We used to be such a happy family. I just wanted to go back in time.
Just enjoy every moment I had left with them.
I sob into my knees as my grip began to tighten.
Waves of water flow out of my eyes.
I can't face the fact that they're gone. They're gone...
My eyelids slowly closed and I fell into a dreamless sleep.

I was woken my the sound of a carriage arriving.
Quickly I got up and went down to greet them but there was another noise.
It was Mrs Cuthbert. She was yelling. Something wasn't right.
I rush down the stairs almost falling down but I managed to break the fall.
Swinging the door open my eyes fell on Willam riding away on a horse.
"What's going on?" I looked at Aunt Elizabeth and Diana in confusion.
"They stole the money" Diana looked almost like she couldn't believe it.
Oh no.. Uncle William had been quite stressed about the soil testing and the business he had with Nate.
Turns out he's the bad guy.
"Serves him right" The voice of Aunt Elisabeth echoed through my ears.
I'm surprised at what she'd just said.
I heard them fighting the night we got the letter but I didn't think it was serious.
"Come on Rose.. " Diana led me inside and we all sat in the living room waiting for Williams arrival back.

Third-person pov
Gilbert sat in his hammock with a letter in his hands.
He carefully tore it opened not noticing Bash behind him.
"Fancy. What does it say?" He said with his thick accent.
Gilbert eyes scanned the paper but some caught his eye in particular.
"There's gold in Avonlea?" He looked up at Bash with his eyes full of disbelief.
