Clay's POV

I was at the gym like usual, panting loudly as I went a bit longer than planned. I grabbed a towel, wiped my forehead with it and stood up after that. I felt myself getting lightheaded and had to hold something so I wouldn't fall down immediately.

I had never had an easy life, my parents were really strict on me. I always had to eat really healthy, but at one point I started worrying about food so much that it became an obsession for me.

I didn't think it was that serious, but I knew I was thinking more about food than most people did. I was only allowed to eat organic or vegan food. I didn't eat gluten, dairy and carbs, because those were too unhealthy. Most importantly, I only ate "pure foods". If something was added to a food, I wasn't going to eat it.

That's why I skipped most of the foods, they all added sugar, salt and way more unnatural stuff. It would make me really unhealthy, so that was why I didn't eat it.

I wasn't focused on losing weight, but still lost a lot. I couldn't really tell why since I was just eating really healthy, I shouldn't be losing weight then right?

After I exercised for four hours, I stood up to go home. That was another thing I did. I exercised every day, for around three to four hours, because I got extremely restless otherwise. I had to stay fit and get a good trained body so I needed to train for that.

After school I always went to the gym for hours. I did my homework in the evening and then went to sleep because I was always very tired and I never really felt well.

I came home and walked into my house, looking at the table to see some fruit on it. I looked up and grabbed an apple as I walked to my mum.

'Have you bought organic apples? Or are these apples with a lot of shit added?'

'Where did you get it from?'

'The scale on the table.'

'Those aren't organic, the ones on the counter are,' my mum muttered. She didn't seem to care a lot about what I was saying and I walked to the kitchen. I checked the package to make sure the apples were organic and healthy enough for me to eat. Once I saw it was good enough, I took a bite and sat down on the couch whilst moving my legs.

'What's for dinner?' I asked my mum.

'I bought some beans, potatoes and meat.'

'Is it all organic? I don't want meat, I'll only eat beans and potatoes if it's completely organic.'

'The meat isn't organic.'

'I don't want it then,' I said as I sat back on the couch. 'Are the other things organic?'

'I haven't checked,' my mum said.

I stood up and walked to the kitchen to look at the package. 'Those potatoes aren't organic, I won't be eating them. The beans are organic luckily, I'll get some beans.'

'Is that the only thing you're going to eat?'

'Yeah, the other things aren't organic.'

My mum rolled her eyes in annoyance. 'Just eat with us, you're being way too picky and annoying.'

'No, I'm not going to eat that, so that's too bad for you. I could get sick because of it, it's too unhealthy.'

My mum didn't answer me anymore since she was annoyed with me and I sighed, being annoyed with her now. She always was like this, she just found me an annoying waste of air.

'I'm going to do my homework,' I said with a sigh. 'Make sure to only give me beans for dinner.'

'You're annoying me, Clay. Just go away.'

'Fine,' I said as I stood to walk upstairs.

I sat down behind my desk as I looked out over the swimming pool next to the garden. My parents were decently rich and built a big swimming pool four years ago. Since it wasn't fully in our garden, but mostly in the park, we decided to make it into a public swimming pool.

My dad lost his job a while back and my mother was working full time, but since a lot of people seemed to like the public swimming pool, we earned a decent amount of money with it.

I never really went swimming, I mostly went to the gym to exercise. People had often found me a bit strange for not using the swimming pool which was literally next to my garden, but it didn't feel like a good enough exercise. I knew swimming was one of the hardest exercises, but I wasn't allowed to change up my exercising schedule. I would get restless and end up doing both.

I was staring at a young girl with her mother in the swimming pool and sighed. They seemed happy together. I didn't have a good bond with my parents at all. When I used to eat carbs and all those things, I often got sworn at to eat something healthier. Now I only ate organic foods without gluten, dairy, carbs and added things and they still got mad at me.

I sometimes missed eating a hamburger, but I stressed so much because it was way too unhealthy. I had one friend, Sapnap, he was pretty chill about it, but also didn't know much about my eating behaviour.

At school I ate enough, but just really healthy. Sapnap never really worried much about it, but I sometimes had seen him look weirdly at me. He sometimes made comments like: "You really need to eat a hamburger, dude.".

I never really knew why he said those things, it wasn't like I was incredibly thin and I just ate really healthy. Why would I need a hamburger if I could also eat pure and healthy foods?

I stood up after doing my homework and went downstairs to sit at the table. My plate was filled with beans and I smiled at my dad and mother who just came home.

'Thanks for not adding other stuff.'

My mother sighed. 'I know how you replied last time, I'm not going through that again. You acted like a child, screaming so loudly about just some dumb potatoes.'

'Then buy organic ones,' I said as I took a bite from my beans.
