The Salvatore group all gathered around the van, cleaning up what was left of Dana Lilien. MG sat in the trunk, cleaning the goo off of his Vans with pieces of a comic book. Lizzie was spraying down the asphalt. Hope was wiping her hands off with an old towel. Artemis and Kaleb just stood there, waiting for the rest of the group to finish cleaning up.

"Nasty. Yeah, so, um, I'm out of here. But a little piece of advice, Landon could be in there, right now, eating fools. So, I'll holla" speaks up Kaleb, before walking off. Hope sighs at his comment.

"Come on guys. If it's not Landon, then what else could it be?" asks Hope.

"A very scary monster that I am not looking forward to running into?" offers Artemis. MG stares at the piece of the comic before speaking up.

"Spider!" he exclaims, causing the girls to give him a questioning look. "A big spider. An Arachne, if you want to get specific." he finishes, offering the comic to the girls. Lizzie takes it from his hands.

"This is nerd porn, not real life," answers Lizzie, giving the page back to MG

"So were dragons and gargoyles. The writer bases her comics off of Greek lore. An Arachne was originally a beautiful woman who was cursed by a jealous god and turned into a giant spider!" declared MG, "Uh, all it wants is to be human, so it wears the skin of its prey to pass.  Oh my god. Its- Its fangs are huge, so they could pass for a vampire bite. And! Its bite liquefies its victims! Plus, I found a web in Dana's hair." he declares.

"That would explain why it couldn't follow the knife out of town. An SUV-sized insect can't exactly hitchhike unless it inhabits the body of someone," adds Hope.

"Who? Sasha maybe?" questions MG

"My money is still on your boyfriend." retorts Lizzie. Artemis rolls her eyes at the comment hoping no one notices. Lizzie did.

"He's not my boyfriend" scoffed Hope.

"If we had something from it, we could do a tracking spell," says Lizzie. As she finishes her sentence Landon, the boy who Artemis is starting to loath runs up to them.

"Would its face work?" asks Landon, holding up a piece of bloody skin. Everyone looks at it, with a disgusted expression.

"Yes, you mophead, it would," says Artemis, taking the piece of skin from his hands and pulling out a small map of the town from her pocket.

"You always carry around a map with you?" sasses MG.

"No, Milton. I pulled it out of your ass" she sasses back. "I brought it in case we found something to do a locater spell on Sasha or Dana."

She sits in the back of the van and lays out the map, placing the flap of skin on the corner of it. She turns her teeth into canines and pokes her finger, allowing the blood to drip onto the map.

"Ad under venimus e, etzli, sequitas etzli, hualmocuepatz" she chants, closing her eyes. As she chanted in incantation she got flashes of where the Arachne was.

"Guys we better hurry, it's at the old mill," Artemis exclaims.

As the Salvatore group runs through the woods, the emergency phone starts ringing. They begin a game of hot potato with the phone as they continue running

"It's for you." MG directs to Lizzie. " No way I'm telling your dad what we're about to do," he concludes, passing the phone over to her.

"I suck at lying." panics Lizzie, "You're great at it," she says, passing the phone to Landon.

"You're always in trouble anyway," says Landon before passing it to Artemis.

"Rude. And nope, I can't get in trouble again, he might call my mother. He prefers you anyways." says Artemis, before handing the phone to Hope.

"You're the hero," states Hope, passing the phone back to Lizzie.

"Hi, daddy!" Lizzie answers the phone

"Hey, thought I'd call, check-in, see how things are going." calmly says the headmaster. Artemis gives Lizzie an almost violent thumbs up.

"So good," she replies, Hope nods at her with wide eyes, encouraging Lizzie to lie to her father.

"Really? Define 'good', Lizzie, because I don't think that involves me tracking down Dana's body to the glove compartment." he snapped.

"Listen, dad, it's fine, we cracked the case. It's a spider. But, like, a big, huge, nasty spider. And MG's comic books know how to kill it" she replied, feeling victorious. Hope and Artemis gave each other a look, when you put it that way, it sounds like a crazy conspiracy.

"Comic books? Really? Lizzie, listen to me, whatever you're thinking of doing, don't, okay? So just tell me where you are, and Matt and I will be right there. And where is Hope?" he questions

"I'm sorry, dad. You're gonna have to trust me for once," she says before hanging up. "Let's do this," she tells the group.

As the group approaches the old mill, they hear Josie scream. Landon runs in first, yelling something, before running back out.

"I hate spiders," grumbles Hope as she walks in.

"Ditto," says Artemis, not too far behind Hope. Her eyes widen as she sees Josie and Rafael kiss. "Lizzies gonna be pissed" she uttered.

"Lizzie, we need your help!" says Hope. At that, the blonde Saltzman twin ran into the old mill. "Josie! take my hand" she exclaims. Artemis and Josie both grab Hope's hands, Lizzie holding onto Artemis. "Repeat after me. Imperium fluctus malleus."

"Imperium fluctus malleus. Imperium fluctus malleus. Imperium fluctus malleus. Imperium fluctus malleus. Imperium fluctus malleus!" The girls exclaim. They hold their hands forward. The spider explodes, covering them in orange goo. Landon, Rafael, and MG stare at the girls as they walk out.

"That was so gross," mutters Artemis, earning laughs from the rest of the group.

After washing up, Artemis finally decided to go back to her room. As she walked in, she noticed that Alyssa wasn't back yet, again. She sat on her bed and turned to look at her nightstand. she looked at the collection of framed polaroids before her eyes landed on a picture of her and Hope. After a while, she realized that she had a small smile on her face. She finally laid down, and once her head hit the pillow the realization hit.

"Oh my god. I'm in love with Hope Mikaelson."
