The door opened and two maids hastily entered the room. Koushi who had just opened his eyes immediately looked at the large window at the side of his bed.

It's already morning?

He asked himself and shortly he felt a being, sleeping peacefully on his side with its arms still wrapped around his waist. Koushi instinctively smiled when he saw the young boy sleeping soundly with his soft white hair looking like a mess.

"Young master Mahon..."

One of the maids called, Mahon (Koushi) lifted his head and looked straight into the maid standing next to the drawing table. Her chin was held up high as if she was looking to people of a lower rank than her.

Koushi didn't like the way she acts, since he lived in a place where human rights and somehow, equality coexists, he couldn't help but be annoyed at the proud young maid staring at him as if she were saying that he was just a mere bug.

"Lower your eyes."

Koushi said in a cold piercing tone that made the maids shudder. The proud maid was taken aback by the boy's sudden attitude but thinking that it was only the boy being headstrong she didn't lower her gaze and instead, she puffed her chest and looked at him as if she was mocking him.

"Why young master? I always looked at you like this but never even once did you call me out." She uttered with a wide grin on her face.

Mahon squinted his eyes in annoyance before closing it and heaving a sigh, regaining his composure. He looked at the maid once more and smiled.

The cold smile on Mahon's lips immediately made the atmosphere dark, sending shivers to their spine, making both of the maids flinch as they felt the dark energy originating from the elven young boy in front of them.

This is a world of Magic. Everyone in this world has their own magic even the beggars on the streets have their own. But compared to the royalty and nobility it's like a drop of water over the vast sea.

Sometimes a commoner would be born and would have a vast amount of mana that could compete against those in the nobility, but that was a rare occurrence it could hardly occur once every thousand of years, and it happens that that once in every thousand of years was 9 years ago.

One of the people who helped the protagonist in the story was a sage, a powerful magician with a humble background. His name was Larken, he was one of the people who helped the protagonist in defeating Azrar.

Going on, Mahon is not a person born from human nobilities. Mahon is a half-elven boy born from a human father, whose origin was unknown and a high-ranking elven mother.

Elves were not the most powerful nor they were considered to be a powerful magician on the continent though they have a high affinity towards the four elements and sometimes there are also special attributes they could acquire if they were to be blessed by the gods.

That's why even though elves weren't good at using magic they were still an existence not to be taken lightly off. Right now Mahon who was a high elf born from an elven noble was displaying his strong dominance towards a commoner human who can merely cast a spell to move a dish around the counter.

The maid couldn't help but tremble as she slowly lowers her head. Mahon saw this and he immediately chuckled, the laugh was soft and cute that one would melt when they heard it but the maids who just felt the strong dominance of a high elf that Mahon displays a while ago couldn't help but shudder.

"Looks like I've been too lenient."

Koushi mutters as he looks at the existence sleeping next to him. He reached for the child's hair and immediately caressed the child's soft locks.
