"I'll kill them... I'll kill them..." Azrar mumbled to himself as he followed the man carrying Mahon in his arms.

"Calm down, kid." The young man replied his face still focused on his steps.

How dare you tell me to calm down?!

Azrar roared in his mind as he look at the bigger back of the older man. The young man seemed to be a lot older than him his body is lean yet with muscles that are evident as he held the unconscious elven child.

Just one look at the older's appearance. Azrar immediately did not like him. He pulled his right arm and started gathering all his mana on his right palm with his eyes spitting daggers at the young man's back.

Kill...

Kill him...

Kill him!!

The voice inside Azrar's head urges him to kill the man in front of him and as he was about to advance and send the other guy to the afterlife.

As if he's been poured on with a bucket of cold water, Azrar froze as he caught a glimpse of Mahon's small feet dangling from the side as the older man carried his unconscious body.

The dark mana he's been gathering on his right palm immediately dissipates as if it has never been there.

No... I might harm my brother if I kill him now.

Azrar thought and he immediately retracted his killing intent.

The older man who has been aware of the situation behind him sighed inwardly.

As you should...

He thought as he secretly glances at the young boy behind him who now has his head facing the ground. Looking so timid.

...

In the middle of the desert. A young man with hair as dark as the night walked aimlessly with a single wooden staff as his companion.

"I have arrived... Father..." He utters with anticipation as he glances at the large thresholds of the city.

...

"Urgh..." Mahon groaned as he slowly opened his eyes.

As his vision gradually stabilize he immediately caught the image of a young tanned man standing right beside his bed, right next to Azrar.

Sensing the small movement of the elven child next to them. The young man immediately stood up from his seat and walked towards him.

"Thanks to father, you finally wake up. I thought I might need to find another..." Realizing what the darker-skinned man was about to say, Mahon immediately glared at him and slightly tilt his head to signal the other about the presence of the white-haired child who is now sprawled on the feet of his bed crying like there was no tomorrow.

"Brother huhu..." Azrar cried tears pouring out of his slightly swollen eyes.

"Azrar..." Mahon called as he opened his arms welcoming the younger child.

The child hastily crawled towards him and immediately fell lying by his side, still crying. Mahon, seeing the fragile appearance of the boy. Mahon couldn't help but have his heart clench.

With patience and extreme tenderness. Mahon coaxed the child to sleep.

Once he assured that the white-haired was now in deep slumber. He immediately turned his head and shot a glare toward the oldest man in the room, who seemed to be turning a little impatient.

"What??" The older guy asked with his head slightly tilted to the side.

"Caligula." Mahon sternly called the older man's name.

"What did I do??" The young demigod asked.

"What the fuck were you wearing??" Mahon asked, "I almost didn't recognize you..." He added.

"Oh, this?" Caligula asked before pointing at his suit. "This is because if I wear what I usually wear. People might realize that something is wrong." He replied his face held up high as if he was proud of what he had done.

That's why you changed into a maid's dress?!!!

"Oh my god... Can you please change it into something more decent? Like butlers or something? Seeing you like this right now might give me a nightmare." Mahon uttered with his face painted in disgust.

"You're no fun," Caligula muttered disgruntledly before flicking a finger, and in a blink of an eye the long black skirt he's been wearing turned into sleek black pants.

Satisfied with his new appearance, Mahon's expression calmed down.

"By the way..." Mahon mutter. Before he turned to look at the young child sleeping on his lap.

"What happened while I'm out?" He asked still looking at the child dozing with his arms wrapped around his waist.

The young demigod looked at the child sleeping next to the elven boy and couldn't help but contemplate whether he should tell the latter what had occurred on the stairway.

Caligula remained static which made the elven boy confused. He turned his head to look at the man standing next to his bed and saw the demigod who was deep in thought with a subtle unease, staring at the white-haired child next to him.

Seeing the expression on the latter's face. Mahon grew concerned about what could have happened during the time he was unconscious.

He turned again to look at Azrar and couldn't help but fall into terror.

Could it be... Did Azrar's powers manifest during the time I was asleep?

The elven boy couldn't help but tremble when the thought of Azrar's tragic fate crossed his mind.

No, it can't be... He can't die... He will not die.

He thought to himself. Noticing the violent trembling of the elven boy's small body. Caligula calmed his gaze down.

"Nothing much happened. Servants ignoring both of you wasn't really unusual so no, nothing happened," Caligula explained. With his eyes looking at the red iris of the child who was supposed to be asleep.

"Nothing much happened..." He whispered before a smile slowly flashed across his face.
