Yukiji of the bloody blade - A vampire Knight fanfic -

- Chapter I: A new beginning -

~ Yukiji's POV ~

Cross Academy is a famous private school where all the students live on campus and the dorms. It was built and runed by the same man that took Zero and I in four years ago, Kaien Cross. This academy was a place designed so that humans and vampires could coexisted, a dream of that silly mans or to put it better, a chance to show that coexistence with vampires were possible.

There is the day class, mainly made up of humans for the exception of Zero but that was a secret thats kept between the chairman and myself. Even Yuki doesn't know the truth about Zero.

Then there's the night class, made up of aristocratic vampires which are lead by the pureblood vampire Kaname Kuran.

Once classes we're over I would resume my duty as a guardian alongside Zero and Yuki. We were to watch over the night class and to make sure that they wouldn't break any of the rules that were set in place. We each carried an anti-vampire weapon such as Zero's gun bloody rose, Yuki's Artemis rod and my Benihime sword.

This sword is one of the only links to my forgotten past, it has been with me since the day I awoke  in the snow ten years ago. I like to hope that it was past to me from my biological parents in the hopes it would protect me.

I was currently running to the doors that separated the night class from the day class, the day students swarmed the gates hoping to catch a glimpse of the beautiful people that stood behind the closed gates.

"Don't push!"

"Hey!"

"Alright everyone step back! It's way past curfew for all day class students so just turn around and go back to your dorms." I said.

Yuki the appeared next to me and tried to keep the girls back.

"We can see what your trying to do Yukiji it's so obvious, you just want to keep the night class students all to yourselves!"

"Yeah, your taking advantage of the fact that you were taken in but the headmaster."

I got angry.

"That's not true! I'm on the disciplinary committee!"

The girls continued to advance, I then had to take a step back.

"NO!" I yelled while trying to push them back.

The moon dormitory gates opened and al, of the girls lined up.

"We're too late again." Yuki had said with frustration.

"Please proceed." I spoke.

The day class girls went crazy at the sight of the night class students, the night students proceeded to walk. The most troubling of the bunch Hanabusa Aido greeted the girls with that playful smile of his. He got the girls riled up to the point where they surrounded him pushing me over.

"Yukiji is everything alright?"

Kaname came over to me and offered his hand. He pulled me up then I proceeded to let go of his hand.

"I'm fine Kaname."

"Thank you and Yuki for all your help."

"Your welcome." I said.

Yuki then came over.

"That's what the disciplinary committee does."

"Yukiji, when you act reserve like this I feel...a bit lonely."

"I apologise for that Kaname, it's just..."

I felt reminded of the events that happened four years ago.
