Chapter Fourteen

It was a hell week for me. I am so busy. Ang daming may mga appointment. Plus, simula nung araw na nagdate kami ni Damon, hindi na kami nagkita pa hanggang ngayon. Dahil kung busy ako, mas busy siya. Kapag tumatawag siya laging mabilisan lang tapos kapag tinatanong ko siya kung nasaan siya lagi niyang sagot ay office. Kapag tinatanong ko naman kung pupunta siya sa bahay, ang laging sinasabi niya ay mago-overtime daw siya. I admit, dissapointment are eating me everytime na sinasabi niyang di siya makakabisita. It's already a whole week, and I already miss him. Pero never ko yung sasabihin sa kaniya. Siguro kapag pinilit niya ako. I sighed. I never thought that someday I will miss a man's presence especially named Damon.

"Hey, you okay?" I stopped sighing and I looked at Ivy who's staring worriedly at me.

I smiled when I remember the time I told her about Damon and I. Clearly, she's really my bestfriend.

"Good morning Doc!"

Ngumiti ako kay Ivy at sinenyasan siyang mag-usap kami sa office ko kaya nag-OK sign siya at sumunod sa akin.

Pumwesto kami kung saan kami kumakain lagi ng lunch. Magkaharap kami ngayon at honestly, I am freaking nervous! Lagi kong naiisip kung ano kaya magiging reaction niya? Mabibigla? Magagalit? No. I think Ivy will understand me.

"What is it Doc? or Kier?" she chuckled. "Do you want to talk at me as your secretary or as your bestfriend?"

I playfully rolled my eyes at her. Typical Ivy. I cleared my throat.

"Uhm... I....Errr..." I stopped when she laughed at me. Napapikit ako, hindi ko alam kung anong sasabihin.

"Kier come on, say what you want to say. It's not like you will confess something like you already have a girlfriend, or you're gonna fire me or you will say that you are a gay."

Nanigas ako sa kinauupuan ko at alanganing tumitig sa mga mata niya. She's chuckling but when she saw my face, she stopped, her smile faded slowly.

"Wait, are you serious?! You're really gonna fire me?!"

I want to facepalmed. Seriously, this girl. She even had the horror look on her face. Parang hindi ako kilala. Kahit pumalpak pa siya ng ilang beses, I will never ever fire her. Seeing my bored reaction, she immediately gave me a peace sign and then her eyes slowly became big like an O, like she realized something and that's the time my nervous came back. It seems like she already knows it.

"Y-you? As in....? Is it serious?"

Kinakabahan man tumango ako sa kaniya. Napatayo pa siya na kinatakot ko, galit ba siya?

"Kailan pa? Bakit hindi mo sinabi?"

"Remember when---"

"Kier! Oh gosh, I'm so proud of you! I never thought na meron ka ng girlfriend!"

"Yeah, I also never thought that I will be attmtracted to a ma---wait, what?! Girlfriend?! I don't have a girlfriend!" naguguluhang wika ko sa kaniya.

Nakataas naman ang kilay na tumingin siya sa akin. "I think you're not gonna fire me so I assumed you already have a girl--"

"No! Damn it Ivy! Think again what you said a while ago, I'm not gonna fire you! and I also don't have a girlfriend!" napipikon ng saad ko sa kaniya. Nakalimutan ko na ang takot at kaba na nararamdaman ko kanina.

"Then w-what?" we stared at each other then, "OH. MY. GOD." Obviously, She's shocked. Even her both palms are placed on her mouth.

"YOU'RE GAY?!"

Mabilis akong umiwas ng tingin. "I well.. n-no, uhm sort o-of?" I gave up, I sighed and stared at her eyes. "Damon and I happened, Ivy." Deretso ko ng saad sa kaniya.
