CHAPTER 10

LISA'S POV

"Now, what do I do with you?" I sighed, looking at Jennie

"Can I stay the night?" She asked stumbling toward me and falling in my arms

Man she's heavy

"I suppose so. I'll tell your parents" I answered struggling to carry her to a seat and place her in it. I then grabbed our home phone, calling and telling her parents that Jennie would be staying the night

When I turned back around I saw that Jennie was gone, then I felt a breeze and saw the screen door to our backyard was open. Great

I walked outside searching for Jennie, not needing a flashlight since it was a full moon out. I looked everywhere then saw Jennie, laying by Red on the grass, looking at the sky

"Jennie, get back inside," I said standing behind her, but she ignored me

"Isn't the sky beautiful out tonight?" I looked up at the sky and then back at her. "I guess it is" I replied looking at her irritatedly

She chuckled. "When I was little before we moved here, I used to lay outside every night and wished on that star," she said while pointing at the moon

Of course, I forgot she's drunk

"And I would wish to have a huge castle made out of Skittles" she giggled

"Skittles? Really?" I asked looking down at her smirking

"Yeah, but instead, we moved and I met and fell in love with you, and started wishing for something else," she said turning and looking up at me as I slowly bent down to sit by her. How could you understand and fall in love at the age of 7? I didn't and still can't understand or feel that

I looked up at the sky again then back at her. "What did you end up wishing for?" I asked in a tranquil tone

She sat up staring me in the eyes. "I wished for us to be together forever and..." She looked down

"And what?"

She looked back at me now making our faces inches away from each other. "And that one day you would love me"

We sat there staring at each other in the eyes, until I noticed something glistening on her cheeks, causing her to look away

Is she crying?

"I bet you're thinking that I'm stupid and that you would never feel or love me?" She asked looking away laughing shyly and shaking her head

She's right, but ever since she got here, I've been feeling these strange things that I've never had before, but I don't know if what I'm feeling is what you would call love...but I'm tired and annoyed at myself because I'm not trying to change who I am and in the process making everyone around me, including myself, unhappy...so there's only one thing to do

She looked back at me. "I'm feeling a little tired and a little soberer now, can we go back inside?" She asked. I sat there still staring at her not moving, watching her while she was fixing to get up, but I reached out and stopped her

"What is it, Lisayah?" She asked looking at me concerned

I continued staring at her, feeling my heart beat faster and feeling so many emotions bubbling inside

"Lili?" She asked again

And at that moment it felt like I wasn't in control anymore. My body was. I slowly lifted my other hand and softly grabbed Jennie pulling her towards me and lightly planted a kiss on her cheek, causing her breath to hitch in the process

I let her go and watched her reaction turn from a concerned look to a blushing shy look as she grabbed and held her cheek. I smirked at the reaction but made sure she didn't see me

"I'm tired also. Let's go to bed" I got up dusting myself off and started walking back inside

I turned around once I got to the door and saw Jennie laying back down on the grass. Really? I then watched Red walk toward her sniffing at her, but she didn't budge

I walked back to her. "Jennie?" I asked looking at her, but once I neared her, I noticed she was passed out

What the...really? It was just a kiss on the cheek. She's such an idiot

I sighed and bent down and tried to pick her up, but it was no use. She's heavy. Finally, after the fifth try, I managed to pick her up, carrying her bridal style to my room

I walked down the hall and opened my room door, quickly stumbled to my bed dropping Jennie on it. I turned her around properly laying on my bed then took her shoes off and covered her up

After she was situated I went to the bathroom and changed, then continued to turn off all the lights, crawled into the bed I made on a small couch in my room, and went to bed

Today, like any other day, was tiring and painful, but I have to say, it was fun at the same time

I touched my lips, smirking to myself. I rolled over on my side, and started to drift off to sleep...that is until I heard an all too familiar noise

I quickly turned around and turned on the lamplight that was by me and saw Jennie leaning over the bed puking

"What the heck Jen? All you drank was wine tonight? What else did you drink or eat?" I asked annoyed as I quickly got up to get a trash can and cup of water for her

I walked to her and noticed puke was in her hair. That's disgusting. I pulled her hair out of her face and placed the trash can in front of her

"I'm so sorry, Lili" she pouted while looking at me

"It's fine," I said handing her the cup of water. She took a sip but soon started puking again right after

This is gonna be a long night

I sat there on the bed watching her
