"I was entranced by those dark brown eyes."

Today, we are celebrating our first huge school event and also invited other schools to participate. There are many exciting games, fund raising activities and awarding ceremonies. This is also like a recognition for students like us who will start our junior high school lives in this school year. I will now need to focus on studying business and marketing related topics while Maria decides that she'll strive to be a famous volleyball player aside from pursuing her dreams as an engineer.

"Bruh, congratulations! You're a tough opponent talaga!", Maria said after she got her award.

"I think you can beat me if you haven't been busy with your other school activities."

"C'mon, bruh! And there's a quote that says, if you always study but no play that will surely make Maria Anna a dumb girl!"

"Jeez! Is that even a real quote?! I think you're just making that up!"

I feel soreness in my lower back and belly.

It's a sketch of her playing volleyball under the heat of the sun. I covered it with some bubble wrap and put it inside a box with a handle. I was about to go out when I heard a group of girls talking in the corridor. I peeked a little and saw four of them.

I think they were all talking about me. I felt sad kasi talagang wala akong ibang naging matinong kaibigan sa room maliban kay Maria. I deeply sighed. Mas lalo yata sumama yung pakiramdam ko. I stayed quiet as they continued their conversation. After they left, I waited for a few more minutes before I grabbed my painting and went outside. I'm worried that the bullies are still around and I didn't want them to see me so I moved at a fast pace with my crutches. I never noticed a boy running on the other side of the hallway.

"Ouch!", I mumbled as my forehead bumped on something and lost hold of my crutches and painting.

He's a bit taller than me so I only bumped into some boxes he was carrying in his hands. Before I could lose my balance, his right arm held me by my waist and steadied me. He took me by surprise as he nonchalantly dropped his belongings and then used his left hand to pick up the painting and my crutches on the floor. He's wearing very faint tint clear glasses, a blue jersey jacket, a black face mask and beanie hat. He also carries a red acoustic-electric guitar on his back.
