chapter 17: flat tire

"mom I'm going for my swim I'll be back by 10:30 pm or something will you be there?" Jae asked her mom while leaving the house

"I'm going to the hospital at 12:30 am so yea we'll have time to finish packing your stuff"

"ok mom"

"go safely"

"I know that"

she shut the door and went towards her cycle and started riding towards the pool 

parking her cycle and opening the door and saw the water still

"coach isn't here?" she said to herself and went to the other end of the pool like always and placed her bag and turned behind and saw him walking out of the changing room

and it was the first time she saw his body outside the water

and it was hot

he knew that her eyes were on him and he controlled his smirk, as always he went to the other side of the pool more like 'his' side of the pool and dived from his lane

lane 4 

she wore her swimming cap and went towards her usual lane and dived after she saw him leave from her side of the pool and just like always

never on each others side

opposite, looking into the eyes of each other and refusing to look away, and as if some strings were connected. they started swimming almost at the same time and crossing each others path somewhere in the centre of the pool and reaching the other ends 

they sensed it too

it was electrifying

just as she finished her time in the pool she went into the changing room and took a shower and wore her shorts and sweatshirt with her damp wet hair falling over her shoulders she walked out and saw the pool empty and the water still

"must've went home," she said and walked out and went towards her cycle
 

but

she then cursed in all the languages she possibly knew 

"YOU FUCKING SHIT, WHY THE HELL DID YOU BECOME FLAT ARGH" she yelled and kicked the tire of her bicycle, she squeezed the tire and it squashed easier than squashing a tomato

"AAAAHHHH" she yelled and she got out her phone and tried booking a cab but all of the cabs showed her they are 30 minutes away and it was 10:45 pm and she didn't wanna wait 

she kept her phone in her bag and kicked the tire once again but then heard a slight cough behind her

"stop torturing the poor thing" he came out of the pool complex and told her

"oh sorry I am not the mirror that you see in the morning" 

"just because it is flat don't spoil it"

"mind your own business," she said and went towards the gates of the complex away from him and stood there

"bastard" she cursed and soon after some time he was in front of her on his bike with the big helmet of his on his head and opened the shutter of it
