Chapter 52: liar

"We are going to a potato field today"

From the moment jay said that semi and minji were regretting their decision to come for this trip because they had one of the craziest potato addicts with them and she couldn't hold back her happiness 

"Oh god minji just get ready ok we are getting ready too, come on quick" jay said and left the tent 

"I LOVE YOU SO MUCH MY NAME TWIN OH MY GOD" Jae yelled and fake cried 

Jake looked at her "stop making donkey noises" 

"Stop being jealous" 

She left the tent with him following her 

"TAKE THAT BACK BYUN JAE"

"TakE tHAT bAcK BYuN jAe" 

She skipped her steps carefully but in the end, got tackled by him in his embrace 

"you're not behaving" he whispered to her

"stop it and oh let's go meet grandma and grandpa shin, they were such a cool company to me yesterday" he backed off a bit and went on to grab her hand and help her to the tent she wanted to go to 

"knock knock, grandma shin are you here?"

Jae peeked into the tent to see the older female busy talking to her husband 

"Oh my! Come in baby I missed you" she chuckled and fixed her position a bit after the two walked in 

"Oh come on grandma shin that was just random," Jae said and sat with Jake beside her "oh and grandma and grandpa shin this is Jake, THE Jake" she emphasised the word THE so that they knew who he exactly was 

"Ohhhhhh jae's man is here and oh my he is so handsome, oh lord" grandma shin adored  his puzzled face that had no idea why was he there 

 "Hi grandma and grandpa shin I am Jake but call me jaeyun" he bowed to them and smiled 

"Oh it's ok we have a good pronunciation for English names" grandpa shin laughed and shook his hands with Jake 

" I see haha" Jake chuckled lightly to reduce the awkwardness for him

"Why did you leave Jae for so long? I would've packed her in my bag and left for Seoul. I would've not minded you getting stressed and worked up because of Jae missing" grandma shin spoke seriously but hinting that she was joking 

Jake was taken aback at how nice the older couple was and they seemed to have enjoyed jae's company with them 

"I am so sorry but her dad would've killed me if I had taken her for the trek" he spoke guilty and trying to give what grandma shin wanted 

"Grandma shin don't trouble him. It's ok I liked being here" Jae chirped in interlocking her arms with jakes 

" ok ok, I won't trouble your guy now where are y'all up to? Y'all seem dressed up," the older woman asked after checking them out 

"we are going to the potato field for an outing and Jae loves potatoes" jake finally spoke trying to start a good conversation 

"oh, well I guess good choice? but wouldn't it be boring going to a field?" grandpa shin spoke after being taken aback by the fact that they are going to a 'field'

"its because potatoes are the very reason we get most of our foodstuff and especially the honey glazed one with a crisp to them are too good to be true and haha yes grandpa shin its a nice place to take pictures you know that's new adult stuff" Jae laughed trying to not scare the couple away with her potato obsession
