Friday morning, I was released from the hands of the evil nurse and was allowed to get out of the hospital.

The doctor told me everything I needed to know and do and did a final check on my arm before I could leave.

The nurse followed me to the door and said with a blank face, "Don't come back." And it didn't sound like she wished I would stay safe. She was done with me after I kept calling her yesterday for stupid reasons.

"I can't make any promises." She sighed when I said that and went to her other patients.

Brandon came yesterday to bring me some clothes. They were a plain f/c long-sleeved shirt, jeans, and a jacket. Also, they returned my cleaned clothes that I wore on Monday to me, and I carried them in the bag Brandon brought my new clothes in.

And about the moving out with him thing, I told him I'll think about it. Garmadon already paid this month's rent since I moved out, why not stay for another two weeks?

I thought about calling a taxi or an Uber or something, but I saw a beautiful pastel-colored wooden coffee shop across the street. So, I carefully crossed the street and entered it.

I inhaled the smell of coffee, chocolate, ice-cream, tea, and other dessert. Thank god my stomach didn't growl, I just ate breakfast an hour ago.

I went and looked at the menu before ordering. The barista working there behind the cashier gave me a smile and told me the specials for the day.

I had some money from Monday, so I ordered something to drink from the hot drinks' section and some dessert. I spent a few days in the hospital glued to a bed -not literally-, why not treat myself with something delicious?

The barista girl yelled for someone in the back -in the kitchen, I supposed- to make my order and the sweetness of her voice from a few seconds ago was long gone. I almost told her to calm down, but I didn't want to get punched. She went back to doing the rest of her job with a smile like nothing happened while I was looking for a place to sit.

The ninja fangirl I yeeted out of the window a few days was sitting alone, sipping her strawberry milkshake, and doing something on her phone.

She had a small bandage on her nose that she didn't have before. And she wasn't wearing a ninja shirt, instead, she wore a red plaid jacket with a black shirt underneath.

And for some reason, I approached her.

"Hey," I said as I stood in front of her.

She looked up from her phone and took the straw out of her mouth. She said with a bored expression "Oh, it's you, the yeeter. Are you here to yeet my milkshake or something?"

As much as I wanted to laugh, I kept my serious face. And I was surprised at myself for succeeding. "I'm sorry," I apologized, "For throwing you out the window."

She rolled her eyes, "Yeah, sure you are."

I glanced at the seat across from her. "Can I sit with you?"

"Do what you want, I don't own this place."

I sat down and put my bag next to me. She kept staring at her phone and scrolling, sipping her never-ending milkshake.

I asked, "Aren't you supposed to be in school right now?"

"Aren't you supposed to be there as well?"

I made up an excuse, not a lie, but not the whole truth either. "I got injured during the last attack, and I had to stay in the hospital."

I expected her to mock me and say I deserved it, but she looked at me and said "How are you now?"
