"Please, hurry!" A man called out, they were attending a call about a man who  fell out of the rollercoaster

"Buck, we came in at the wrong angle I'm gonna have you climb up there, harness him in, and hang tight while we move the truck. You think you can handle that?" Bobby asks buck who smiled at that

"Hell yeah." He nodded "This daredevil hero stuff is what I signed up for, Bobby."

"Good." Bobby said as buck turned around and walked up the ladder that was extending

"Everybody, try to stay calm. We'll get you down, I promise, all right?" Buck told the people who were stuck in the rollercoaster "I need you to relax, I need you to breathe, and I need you to keep as still as possible. You move less, you stay safe. We get everyone off this ride safe."

Y/n was down by Bobby who was at the end of the ladder, she was told to be ready for anything anyone would need

"Hey, what's your name, man?" Buck asked a man that was dangling from the ride seeing as the cart was upside down the only thing keeping him there was he hold onto the latch that apparently didn't hold him down.

"Devon." He answered panicked

"Devon. All right, Devon. Well, hang on, brother." Buck told him as he climbee closer

"Where's Chad?" Devin cried out "What happened to Chad?"

"Hey, Bobby, he's asking about his friend." Buck told him panicked, y/n looked over the way of his friend

"Chimney, it's y/n, you copy?" She asks chim who was taking care of his friend

"Copy, What do you need?" Chim answered

"How's the kid on the ground?" Y/n asks, a shirt pause happened fore he answered

"We lost him."

"All right, we don't need the people up there seeing that." Bobby spoke now from his radio "So, do me a favor... He survived, right? Get him on a gurney. You know the drill."

"Copy that." Chim said before they did as told y/n looked up at buck closely he was at the highest point, the truck moved to a better spot. Everyone around them was taking photos of the accident

"What is it with people and taking photos of people in distress" y/n sighs before running her fingers through her hair. The next second she knew as buck was reaching for the man he had let go of what he was holding onto and fell to the ground.

y/n walks over to buck who was sat at the table looking into his mug, she then sets his plate down in front of him so he would eat

"I'm not hungry." Buck shakes his head as y/n sits next to him at the table

"This is America, Buckaroo. Eating has nothing to do with being hungry." Chim tells him

"Man, I was right there. You know, all he had to do was reach up and grab my hand." Buck looks up from his cup

"People do funny things at times like that. Sometimes they just freeze up." Chim says sitting across from buck now

"I've never lost anyone before." Buck sighs "Does it get any easier?"

"No." Bobby days as he drained the rag he used for dishes

"Not exactly, I mean it still sucks when you loose someone on a call but it comes with the job buck" y/n tells him softly rubbing his shoulder for comfort before taking a sip from her drink

"Look, people die, and that's part of the gig, right? See, your problem is,you're looking at every job like it's a long-term relationship." Chim tells him simply "They're one-night stands, man. In that moment, they mean everything to you, but once the morning comes... it's on to the next one."
