"Gunshot wound to the chest. She was already dead when we got here." Athena looked at Bobby as they walked into the backyard and next to the pool

"Don't think you're gonna be needing those med kits." Bobby looked at his team who walked up with them

"Yeah, Crime Scene unit's on the way." Athena nodded "We just need to get a medical confirmation that she's dead."

"On it." Chim looked at buck who was in his way "Excuse me."

"Uh, did you just say 'excuse me'?" Buck asked getting out of the way before he whispered" Chimney's being weird."

"How can you tell?" Eddie asked sarcastically

"Ooh, ooh, hey, whoever killed her kicked that gate in good." Buck pointed "Saw a clean footprint on it."

"Well, that foot would be mine." Athena looked at him "The gate was latched shut
from the inside. Front door was locked too."

"If everything was locked when you got here, how'd the murderer get in or out?" Eddie asked

"It's a locked-room mystery." Buck looked around

"A locked-yard mystery." Eddie continued "What do you think? Home invasion gone bad? Murder for hire."

"Was she married? 'Cause... you know. The husband is usually the culprit." Buck offered as y/n made a face at them

"Are we making a true crime podcast?" Y/n asked them

"Calling it..." Hen sighed  "definitely some signs of struggle. Looks like a fresh manicure, too."

"Guessing that the broken nail would have bugged her less than the bullet hole." Chim shrugged

"You got an ID for the paperwork?* hen looked up

"Yeah, the victim's name is Delia Narwood." A man walked up "She's the owner and sole occupant of the property." He tripped over a garden gnome Eddie caught him and rebalanced the man "And a... apparent fan of tiny garden statuary."

"How you doin', Rick?" Bobby chuckled

"Nice to see ya, Bobby."

"Hey, you know, none of this mail's addressed to Delia Narwood... it's not even the right house number." Eddie pointed to the stack

"So she was stealing people's mail." Buck stepped closer "Maybe she saw something she wasn't supposed to... and it got her killed."

"Okay, Cagney and Lacey." Athena looked at the two warning chuckled from them "I think your work here is done."

"All right. Let's saddle up." Bobby nodded at them as they left the backyard

"Eddie, you're on electrical... Buck, I want you to go up the street, shut the gas off at the main." Bobby told them, they had yet na other call back to back

"Copy that." They both agreed

"I mean, I know Stan was angry, but... it's Stan! He was with us for almost 20 years" fatima, a worker at the building the call was at panicked "until the accident."

"He was injured on the job. Blamed the company for cutting corners. Filed a grievance over it."

"The company said
it was his mistake." Fatima continued

"So when they fired him, he lost his health and pension." Bobby nodded

"Court threw out his claim on Friday. He must have snapped." She sighed

"What'd he do for the company? Y/n asked

"He was in charge of demolition on our job sites."

"He'd blow things up for you." Hen asked
