"Kid's car is moving like a runaway freight train, but they got a plan to slow him down before he crashes." Bobby told them as the alarm rang throughout the firehouse

"So we're on cleanup duty?" Chim asked as they went up to the truck

"Not exactly." Bobby shook his head as he got in

"They're clearing a stretch of Woodley Avenue. We'll meet them there." Bobby told them all as they rode down the street

"How fast is he going?" Hen asked

"105. Once he gets to Woodley Avenue, he'll hit the brakes, hope he slows down a little. And that's where we come in." Bobby continued

"That's a vintage car." Chim said like they didn't already know

"You worried about damaging a classic, Chim?" Eddie asked

"I'm worried about damaging a kid. Airbags weren't standard until the '80s." Chim told them as he shook his head

"A car that old, we're lucky it has a shoulder harness." Hen shook her head now as well

"But if they can get it down to 60 or 70, you know..."

"I like his chances better."

"What kind of crazy person came up with this plan?" Y/n asked, she had been back in the job for a week

"My wife." Bobby said making y/n look at him everyone following suit

"Bobby, are you ready?"

"I'm getting in position on Woodley Avenue."Bobby told dispatch, a few Seconds later the truck jolted forward causing them to all jerk as it came to a stop. They all rushed out of the truck quickly and went to him y/n and Eddie took the top off of the convertible and Bobby grabbed the kid as chim and hen brought over the gurney helping him onto it, y/n began to put out the small fire on the car as the dad ran out of the police car and to his son. Eddie leaned into the car once she was done and grabbed something from it

"There'll be an investigation to determine what caused the car to malfunction." Athena told the kids dad

"I'd call it a loose clutch." Eddie showed them the car part

"Looks like the gear shift broke clean off under the boot." Bobby explained "Throttle must have gotten stuck wide open from the linkage brake."

"Wait, how's the car? Can it be fixed?" He asked

"Here, something to remember it by." Eddie handed him the part as he got into the ambulance before shutting the doors

"Kids today." Athena shook her head and put on her sunglasses

Y/n walked up to the door with buck and maddie. Before she could open her own front door Athena opened it and led them down stairs. Y/n's brows furrowed in confusion until she looked up to see everyone there, like EVERYONE

"Surprise!" They all yelled, buck jumped and leaned backward into y/n causing her to almost fall into maddie

"Aw! Did you do this?" Buck looked back at maddie before walking down the stairs and highfiving athena

"Wait omg" y/n looked around before hugging her mom

"Welcome back to the 118" Eddie told y/n as she walked fully done the stairs and hugged her

"Even though I already have been for a week" y/n chuckled and then hugged Bobby then the rest of the 118 buck doing the same
