"Chris, hurry up." Eddie yelled out "We still got to pick up Tía Pepa." He searched through the wardrobe before lowering his voice "Shouldn't take that long to pack a toothbrush."
"Why don't you just take a later flight?" Buck asked as he played with one of Christopher's dinosaur toys "You guys were at a funeral, you know? Y-Your parents will understand." Eddie's head whipped his way "They should understand."
"What is the dress code at a retirement party?" Y/n asked as she watched him
"Tie is probably too much." Eddie shrugged "but it is my parents
we're talking about.... I'll just grab it all."
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Y/n asked him as "I could always come with"
"I have to go alone" he sighed as he packed the clothes "My mom made this huge deal about this party. He did work at the company for 40 years. And Chris..." He sighed sitting up to look at then "He's excited to see everyone,
he misses them."
"40 years... that's a long time." Buck said with a sigh
"Uh, you said he was in oil, right?" Y/n questioned
"Petroleum engineer." Eddie said walking to Chris's dresser and grabbing socks "Spent his whole life driving across the state. Living everywhere but under his own roof with his own family."
"Listen, uh, as-as someone who also comes from a screwed-up family-" buck tried
"My family isn't screwed up." Eddie defended "Just my dad, okay? Plan is get in, get out without any drama. Say congratulations, have some cake and..." He clicked his tongue "call it a day."
"And what about when he starts to get in there and push your buttons?" Y/n asked raising her brows at him
"There's a hotel 20 minutes away, three-and-a-half stars." Eddie said with a nod "Chris is really gonna like the pool." Eddie then left the room before yelling "Chris!"

"You're sure about this?" Bobby asked as he, y/n, and Athena watched the tape on the computer of jonah
"I'm not sure what was in that syringe, but it sent her into cardiac arrest." Hen told them "and it seems like the guy's
got a history of this."
"It's not that I don't believe you guys, but these are huge accusations." Bobby said Looking at hen and chim
"Do you think there's a way we can prove it?" Y/n questioned
"Claudette's autopsy." Chim sighed "The toxicology report is still pending. If we can get it expedited, we can see if there was anything in her blood that shouldn't have been there."
"You think this is some kind of angel of mercy killing?" Athena asked with a shrug "Putting people out of their supposed misery?"
"I think it's more complicated than that." Hen shook her head "This guy's bringing people to the point of death and then using his skills to bring them back. Whe-When he was a kid, he... he got to play the hero. Now he wants to play God."
Bobby, y/n, and Athena shared looks. Was this worse than they had originally thought it was?

"All right, thanks." Bobby said hanging up the phone and turning to the three girls who sat in the living room "Chim leave?"
"Yeah, he had to go home." Hen sat up
"Maddie was dropping off Jee-Yun."
"Uh, Bobby, wh-what did the chief say?" Y/n asked
"They've opened an investigation into Claudette's death." Bobby nodded at her "Jonah's been put on light duty pending the results."
"That's a relief." Hen sighed going to stand up "Thanks, Bobby."
"Yeah." He nodded
"Hen, be careful. If Jonah is who you think he is, he won't take kindly to being exposed." Athena warned
"Are you sure you want to go home alone?" Y/n asked her worried for her friend
"No it's okay, you'll just have to come back alone and I don't want that" hen nodded before she excused herself and left

"We need to get in there." Y/n told the cops surrounding the building
"We need to get in there." Bobby yelled
"This is a crime scene."

"Hey, y/n." Jonah spoke giving the girl a smirk as she turned towards him "we could have worked"

"Wait-" y/n tried but she was too late Bobby was charging for jonah

"Bobby." Athena yelled as Bobby punched jonah square in the face
"You son of a bitch" Bobby got him to the ground and punched him again "I trusted you."
"Enough. He's not worth any more of your time." Athena said as two officers pulled him back
"Nice punch." Chim said as he was wheeled up to the.
"Thank God you guys are alive." Y/n said as she looked at hen and chim
"I am so sorry about what happened to you." Bobby told them
"I'm just glad he got caught, and in the act." Hen said shaking her head
"Hopefully this evidence will be more concrete than what we were working with earlier." Hen looked at the three
"With this evidence, that man will be going away for the rest of his life." Athena comforted her "He won't ever hurt anybody ever again."
"Then it was worth it." Chim spoke as he was wheeled into the ambulance
"How were you guys able to get the police here so fast?" Hen questioned furrowing her eye brows at them "I thought we were out here on our own."
"Karen called, told us everything she knew." Athena nodded "You know, you're a lucky woman to have a wife like that."
"Don't I know it." Hen nodded with a smile
"We're gonna contact Karen and Maddie, let 'em know what hospital they're taking you to, and we'll be right behind you." Bobby told her
'We're good, Cap." Hen smiled "I got him."
And with that hen climbed into the ambulance with chim

"Should I get you a steak, too?" Y/n asked from the freezer "or s that just for black eyes?"
"Ice will be just fine, thank you." He chuckled at her
"You know, I'm not sure I've ever seen you snap like that." Athena told him as y/n filled a bag with ice
"Well, you don't remember. When you were attacked at the storage unit?" Bobby asked her "I thought about doing something that night. Then I saw you and realized you needed me more."
"Mm. My hero." Athena smiled rubbing his back
"Hitting Jonah, probably not the most heroic of actions. I certainly let my emotions get the better of me.Just couldn't help myself, he hurt hen and chim and" Bobby faced y/n who headed their way "I couldn't let him get to y/n."
"Yeah, well, it's hard seeing the people you love hurting like that" Athena said as y/n brought the bag over and placed it on bobby's hand
"Especially when you feel responsible for it. I let that man into my house." Bobby shook his head
"This isn't your fault." Y/n reminded him
"I let that man into my house." He repeated
