"Now I know what you're thinking. 'Oh no! Thor's in a cage! How did this happen?' Well, sometimes you have to get captured just to get a straight answer out of somebody. It's a long story. Basically, I'm a bit of a hero, so is Lady y/n. See we spent some time on Earth, fought some robots, saved the planet a couple of times then went searching through the cosmos for some magical colourful infinity stone things. Didn't find any. And that's when we came across a path of death and destruction which led me all the way here into this cage where I met you."
"Thor stop monologuing to a skull." you told him.
✨magical flashback✨
"Are you sure you want to do this Lady y/n?" Thor asked, concerned by what you were about to do.
"Yes."
"Are you sure it will work?" he questioned.
"Oh I have no idea if it'll work but I am sure I won't die..." You and Thor had traveled to an isolated planet where you were going to lift the Mjölnir to see if the vision you had last time could tell you the location of any of the Infinity Stones. Thinking back on it, you should have gone somewhere near a hospital. "Although... last time I might have only survived because of Loki." you mumbled so Thor couldn't hear. He would have assumed you meant Loci anyway.
"That doesn't reassure me." Thor told you.
"Well what else do we actually have to go off? I've survived once, I can do it again. It probably won't be as bad this time. 'Drop of poison a day.' That theory. You know?"
"Okay then." the god spoke having no idea what you're on about and putting his hammer on the floor for you to pick up. You grabbed the handle and lifted the metal. "Well?" Thor asked.
"Nothing." you responded, but you could now fully appreciate the Mjölnir and the fact you were 'worthy'.
✨and we're back✨
You and Thor had been crammed into two cages that were hanging from the ceiling somewhere... you honestly had no clue at this point you were just there to provide music, and break into places, and provide the escape plan, and provide the food. You were basically keeping the two of you alive and Thor was fighting off things that tried to attack you both.
"What song do you want me to play when we make our miraculous escape?" you asked.
"What about that red zeppelin one you showed me."
"It's Led Zeppelin and yes I think that would do nicely."
"How much longer do you think we'll be here?" Thor queried. His question was answered by the sound of metal gears turning and both your cages collapsing.
You both fell several feet and while Thor got tangled in chains, you managed to fashion a swing-like structure. There was a deep chuckle coming from behind you.
"Thor son of Odin." the deep voice boomed.
"Surtur son of a bitch you're still alive!" Thor greeted the demonic presence almost happily. "I thought my father killed you like half a million years ago."
"I cannot die. Not until I fulfill my destiny and lay waste to your home." Surtur announced. He had flames for flesh and could probably represent what people imagine the devil like.
"You know it's funny you should mention that because I've been having these terrible dreams of late. Asgard up in flames falling to ruins and you, Surtur, at the centre of all of them." Thor reminisced.
