"Ow." you groaned, noticing a sharp pain in your back. As you regained consciousness and opened your eyes you became aware of your surroundings. You had landed on some sort of space rubbish dump. "What the heck?" You stood up to investigate but turns out your back pain was from what you had squashed on arrival. Loci made a weak beep and then powered down. "Loci... no. It's alright my little friend. We'll get you working again asap." you promised as you picked up the broken droid and placed them into an old sandwich bag that was littering the place.
You took note of some sort of city in the distance so started heading towards that. Unfortunately, you barely got a couple of yards closer before a ship blocked your path. The doors slid open satisfyingly and a tall lean figure walked towards you. You didn't like to assume someone's gender but the person was built like a man. He was wearing a black mask that covered his face but you could still see his bleach blonde, messy head of hair.
"Well, well. What do we have here?" he mocked.
"Oh, what do you want?" you asked in a fed up tone.
"I couldn't tell you. What's your name kitten?" You gagged at the nickname he had given you.
"I don't feel inclined to tell you that information but I'm certainly not a feline." you answered sternly.
"Are you a fighter or just a pretty face?" the man asked, stepping closer towards you. He reached a hand towards your cheek but you caught his arm and pulled him into a headlock with ease.
"You're clearly neither." you spat.
"Oohoohoo. Feisty." he muttered in a low tone. You let the dude go but only because you needed answers and to find Loki.
"Right mate, what is this place? Do you think my friend is here? And how do I leave?"
"Bit rude not to ask my name, don't you think?" he challenged.
"No... I don't need to, nor want to know your name therefore I didn't ask, now if you'll excuse me I'll be on my way." you explained and pushed past the exceedingly irritating man.
"Where are you going?" he asked after you.
"Away from you."
"If you want I can take you directly to the person who runs this place. That's where your friend will probably be." that made you stop in your tracks.
"What's in it for you?" you inquired, knowing there would be some sort of ulterior motive.
"Well let's just say that if the Grandmaster is pleased with what I bring him, I'll be getting a new jet engine." he sang.
"So you're selling me as some sort of slave?" you raised an eyebrow.
"Not exactly... anyway I think we should get moving. How about that?" he suggested, changing the subject.
"Fine." you walked towards his ship where the man was leaning on the doorway with his arms crossed. "Jordan Maller." you added, leaving him bewildered.
You had just read his name on a key card type thing you spotted but he didn't need to know that. You walked inside the ship and took a seat. Jordan sat down next to you and the aircraft took off. He also took off his mask so you got to inspect his face for the first time. He had forest green eyes and slightly tanned skin along with a scar going from the top of one ear to his lower lip.
"Like what you see?" he asked, keeping his eyes fixed on flying.
"God, you sound like L- never mind." you smiled when you thought back to that day. Then you realised it was the same day that someone faked his death and decided to not contact you for months. "You still haven't answered all of my questions."
