"Did he throw a rock at you?" you asked Loki.

The two of you had retreated back to your room and you had encouraged Loki to talk to his brother even if it was in illusion form.

"Yes," he answered irritatedly. "We should head back downstairs my dear: Grandmaster will be wondering where we are and it's karaoke night." Loki smiled and pulled you from the bed onto your feet. You just chuckled in response. It was like he was a little kid on holiday really getting into all of the hotel's activities. "What?" he inquired.

"It's nothing," you told him.

"Well, I want to know now," he said playfully while trapping you in his arms. You tried to squirm free but that's when the tickling began.

"No... Loki... stop-" you let out between laughing.

"Tell me what's up then."

"Nothing's up." you state, "You're happy here."

"And you're not." he read from your expression.

"I'm happy if you're happy." you smiled.

"But...?" The prince pressed.

"There's no place like London. Don't get me wrong, bits of it: absolute shit hole, but it's my shit hole and I love it anyway." A comfortable silence grew between the two of you. You piped up again after a few seconds. "Where are we going to go after we leave here? Asgard?"

"Nope, Hela." he reminded you.

"Midgard?" you suggested.

"Eh, I won't exactly be welcomed with open arms."

"Alpha Centauri then. There are lots of spare planets up there."  Your planning was interrupted by a voice message from Grandmaster playing through the speakers in your room.

"Loki, y/n, I hope you didn't forget it's karaoke night." He didn't even need to be there for you to visualise his jazz hands. "Get down here, or am I going to have to get you competing in the COC, see what I did there? Abbreviating it like you sometimes do y/n? Anyway, you've got 5 minutes and counting."

"He'll turn on us you know," you warned.

"What do you mean y/n? He loves us."

"Exactly, and so do all his people. When he notices that we're more popular than him - he'll turn on us," you repeated. "Don't trust self-absorbed people."

"But you're self-absorbed." Loki pointed out. You weren't offended.

"No, I pretend to be in order to mask my insecurities. It's really unhealthy but keeps emotions out of the way while I'm working," you explained. "That's why I knew I liked you when we first met."

"What do you mean?" the prince asked.

"Because you do exactly the same thing." you smiled.

Loki tried to think of a comeback but nothing came to mind because you'd hit the nail on the head. "Let's get going. We've got..." he left a gap for you to insert the time.

"4 minutes, 23 seconds. And I just heard a group of people walk past who are going to use the lift so we'll have to take the stairs... and run."

It was late into the evening by now but you weren't tired as your mind was busy working. You have a suspicion and want to see if you're correct.  You had spoken with Jordan and Eddie mostly, Loki had wandered off somewhere. You hunted for your partner in the crowd and it didn't take long to find him as he was talking about himself again.
