it was friday & we were in our 2nd period & my teacher was going on abt a project nb even had time for.
"this project does involve a partner, so you will be put together with whomever i put you with. mkay.." she said rustling around papers on her desk.
she started to call out partner names & handed papers out.
"keyonna, i'm sorry you won't be partnerd with la'nyja this time. your gonna be w/ princeton & la'nyja your with dante" she handed us direction sheets.
me & key furrowed our brows looking between each other.
"wait huh? oh no, i'm sorry. i don't think im gonna be compatible w/ him ms. d" i spoke up staring between her & key.
"you have no choice ms. james, what i say goes, now is there a serious problem you have w/ him or is it something petty?" she asked turning around.
"ye-" i said before HE intterupted me.
"nah, its no problem at all. she good" dante said looking me up n down.

me & key both looked back at each other in awe.
ding! the bell sounded.
"class dismissed" ms. d said.
i quickly grabbed my bag & got up from my seat as key followed behind.
we walked side by side till we got to our lockers.
"bitch, you gotta be kidding me right? how am i supposed to keep a calm presence when i gotta do shit w/ this shrimp dick" i said speaking to key.
she looked behind me.
"what?" i asked her.
"oh ima shrimp dick now?" i heard a voice say behind me.
i slowly turned around to see dante with his arms crossed.
"i mean.. you did hear what i said, right?" i asked titlting my head sideways.
