Peter woke up that day thinking about both what happened the night before with captain Stacy, and also what was going to happen that night at Pembrooke. He thought that certainly it would've been at least awkward, considering that neither May nor Hermione knew the reason behind their break up, or so Peter hoped since he wasn't sure if Veronica already told her mother or not. In any case that would've been a long day, and in Peter's words, there's no bad day that stays like that with some good music, so he chose one of his CDs and turned on his stereo amplifiers

Peter got ready: he had a shower, washed his teeth, put on his costume, and on top of it he put on some blue jeans, black shoes and belt, a white T-shirt and a blue jeans jacket. Then he took his backpack and went downstares, where he found his Aunt May cooking breakfast

Aunt May: "Hey, honey! Had a nice sleep?"

Peter: "Hi, May! Yeah, I slept good."

Aunt May: "Hey, get a look on the newspaper, I think you too will find it pretty strange."

Peter: "I'll find what strange?"

Aunt May: "Just read it, it's literally in the front page."

Peter got curious, so he took the paper and started reading

A FLEE STOPPED!

Yesterday evening a man named Flint Marko was stopped during a chase with the police. Captain George Stacy released a quite interesting comment: "We were having a hard time chasing the man, until Spider-man arrived swinging on the car. He managed to stop the driver without causing too much of a property damage. Even if the entire police department doesn't agree with Spider-man's out-of-law actions, I wanted to publicly thank him for his service." Does this mean that the police captain is tolerating a violent thief swing in our peaceful city? Do we have to doubt on the ability of captain George Stacy to apply entirely the law?...

May: "Honestly I think that Alice just loves to cause trouble with anyone she sees."

Peter was too dumbfolded to say anything, he couldn't believe that captain Stacy said something so kind to him...well, to Spider-man, but still.

May: "And that Spider-man, finally someone says something kind about him."

Peter: "Aunt May?"

May: "Yeah, honey?"
