Chapter 10

Skye

"Hey guy, morning," I greeted when went into my sister, Nessa's place. She and her husband Jake were in the kitchen having their breakfast. I assume the twins were still in bed at this hour. I kissed Nessa on the cheek before pulling a chair and sat beside her. Both she and her husband looking weirdly at me.

"You are early," she pointed out. "Want something to eat?"

"Just coffee," I said to her and then added, "I can't sleep."

"What's wrong? Something bothering you?" she asked as she stood up and poured the coffee in a mug. She knows me too well. Nessa is two years older than me. We might not be twins but we are very close just like Alex and AJ. We confined each other whenever we have problem. She knew about my feelings towards Alex and she's kept pestering me to tell Alex how I felt but I'm coward.

"I just found out that I have a son," I simply said. Jake chocked while Nessa looked at me with wide eyes. "Easy man," I said to Jake as I rubbed the back of him making him swallow his bread.

"Man, is it true?" asked Jake while Nessa still looked at me with shock.

I nodded my head, "Yes, I found out about it last night."

Nessa placed the nearly full mug in front of me, "Who's the mother?"

"Alex," making Jake chocked again.

"What?!!" Nessa asked. "How?"

"You remember we went to Hawaii?" I looked at her.

"Before she left?" she asked.

I nodded, "We went to a club one night and she got drunk."

"And you did with her while you were drunk?" she asked disgustedly.

"She was drunk but I'm not," I explained her. "We've made love and I've told her I love her before she passed out."

"But she couldn't remember anything?" Nessa smirked.

"Unfortunately," I sighed.

"Is that the reason why she left?" she asked. I nodded my head. "Did she tell anyone?"

"She only told her family a month after she left," I told her.

"And she's been keeping it from you until last night?" she asked again.

"She didn't even have the intention to tell about it me last night. It was coincidence. The boy ran up to her when I drop her at her house last night," I told her.

"How sure are you that the boy is yours?" Jake was the one asking.

"If you look at the boy, you will know he's mine without a doubt," I proudly told him, "He a photocopy of me."

"Really?" both Nessa and Jake queried. I smiled and continued nodding my head.

"He's nearly three now," I told them.

Nessa looked at me, "So what are you going to do now?"

"I've asked Alex to marry me," I smiled at her.

"And she agrees?" she asked.

"I think you know Alex," I chuckled.

"If I'm her, I would reject you just the same," Nessa smirked at me.

"Why?" I queried.

"Because I wouldn't want to marry a man who didn't love me wanted to marry me just because I have his son," she scoffed at me.
