~Chapter 1~

Meeting the Reader

*BEEP*

*BEEP*

*BEEP*

*BEEP*

    You let out a massive groan as you forced your eyes open only to be hit with a wave of sunlight..great you forgot to close your window blinds last night..you sat up with a groan as you grabbed the beeping phone that was on your night stand. You quickly shut off the alarm as you stretched out your arms with a loud groan.
    You turned to your window and gazed around your neighborhood, apartment buildings were lined up like a wooden fence while cars were starting to pull out of their parking spaces along the sidewalk. Yeah not the best neighborhood you could live in, but the apartments were pretty good for their price.
    You closed the blinds as you turned on your lamp for your source of light. "Another day at the daycare.." You grumbled to yourself..if you haven't guessed your job was a caretaker at a nearby daycare. You weren't paid that well but you couldn't really blame them, they were financially struggling and you didn't want to leave because of that.
    You pulled your uniform out of the closet and laid it down on the bed as you began to change. Might as well get to know yourself a bit more while your waiting.
    You were an adult (male/female/other) who lived completely alone in a decent apartment in a decent neighborhood. You had (H/C) hair and (E/C) eyes, along with (S/C) skin. You had a small group of friends, most were at the daycare while one very good friend lived far away from the city.
    Once you got your uniform on you packed up all the essentials in your bag. Car and apartment keys, your phone, bandages and medicine, your wallet, and a few other things you'd like to add.
    Once you were ready you walked out your apartment and into the public eye, your eyes laid on your (C/C) Chevrolet Camaro. It was gifted to you by your parent/guardian before they passed away. It was a 1969 Camera, pretty old but it got you where you needed to go. You jumped into your car and started it's engine, starting to drive it down the road. Hopefully today isn't too crappy.

    Okay, today wasn't to bad thank god. You were a bit late this morning but your boss excused you, thank god he isn't some jerk like your other friends say their bosses are. Today wasn't too special either. You helped a kid find a puzzle piece, played hide and seek with some, it was a decent day.
    "(Y/N)!" You were snapped out of your thoughts when your boss walked over to you "What's up, sir?" You asked, turning to talk to him. "I have to get my kids home a bit earlier than usual, a lot of parents are picking their kids up early too." He said to which you sighed with relief but were quick to question "Why?"
    "There's going to be a storm later tonight. News says it's going to have pretty strong winds. I don't want to get my kids caught up in any of it so...can you make sure all the kids get picked up before you leave?" Your boss asked, scratching the back of his head with an embarrassed look on his face.
    You sighed at first but quickly nodded "Sure." I said to which your boss smiled "Thanks, (Y/N)..you're the best!" He said clearly trying to get on your good side, probably sensed your disappointment. You forced out a chuckle "Oh it's fine! Get your kids out of here!" You exclaimed in a teasing tone.
    Your boss chuckled and nodded "Thanks again (Y/N). I'll see you tomorrow!" He said before walking away "See ya!" As soon as he was out of sight you let out a long groan "Great..." so much for getting home early...
    Well you weren't that surprised that you were chosen for this task...again..a lot of the people who worked here had families to get back to while you didn't. You're thinking about getting a pet so you have an excuse not to stay..but then again who will watch the kids..
    As you were hanging your head down one of the kids ran over to you and pulled on your shirt, trying to get your attention "(Y/N), can you pway twansformahs with us?" The kid asked to which you looked down at him and smiled "Sure, kid."
    Now this was your favorite part of working at the daycare. A great portion of the kids loved Transformers, and as a former fan yourself you were a pro at playing with Transformers toys. You even rememorized all of their names so you could play with them. Let's just say you were those kids' favorite person to play with.
    "Yay! Cuhmon!" The kid grabbed your hand and led you to where the other kids decided they would play "You're going to be Starscream again! Right?" The kid asked looking up at you with pleading eyes to which you laughed at "Of course!" You flicked your hair out of your face as you put on a screechy voice "Only I am suitable as Megatron's second command! And soon..The leader of the Decepticons!"
    When you put on your Starscream impression you were approaching the other kids who all proceeded to burst into laughter, including the kid who was leading you to the group.
    You let a smile creep into your face, the kids loved your impression of starscream. It wasn't spot on but they didn't care, you made him funnier. "C'mon Starscream!" One of the older kids yelled while picking up his Transformers Animated Megatron toy "We have to take over the Autobots' base!" He yelled one a deeper voice to imitate Megatron.
    I smirked as one of the kids handed you a cyberverse Starscream figure "Ugh! Yes, Lord Megatron." You said in your screechy voice as you sat down, aw yeah things are about to get a whole lot funner!

    You kneeled down to the kid's level as you handed him a cookie "Here, your mom should be here soon. Don't tell her I gave you it." I said putting my finger up to my lips with a shush. The kid snickered "Okay!" They said before starting to much down on the cookie. All the other kids left and this kid was the only one left, their mother worked pretty far so it's common she picks him up this late.
    You looked out the window to see the condition of the weather. It was starting to get very cloudy as dark grey clouds covered the entire sky..that kid's mom better get here soon or they're going to be caught up in a massive storm.
    You looked down at the cyberverse Starscream toy you still had in your hand, he was a pretty cool Starscrram..but you perfected prime Starscream more. Starscream was your favorite character in Transformers Prime, you absolutely adored him. Everytime he appeared on screen you couldn't help but smile..poor seeker...he deserved so much better in that show..
    "Mommy!" You turned over to the entrance to see that the kid's mom had arrived to come pick them up "Hey sweetie! Sorry I was late!" The mom said as you walked over to the two "It okay!" you held out the Starscream toy to the kid "Here you go." The kid took the toy and smiled at you "Thank you!"
    You smiled at them before turning to the mom "So sorry I kept you waiting! There was a lot of traffic..." The mom said clearly feeling guilty but you quickly brushed it aside with a scoff "Don't worry i'm used to it. Get home safe!" The mother nodded as she grabbed the kid's hand and led him out of the daycare "Bye (Y/N)!"
    You smiled at the two as they walked out, afterwards you sighed with relief as you looked at the mess the daycare was left in "Time to clean up..."

    After you had cleaned up the entire you walked outside only to get hit with a gust of cold air. You couldn't help but shiver as the air whipped around you, fortunately you had a sweater in the car so you just had to-
    Your thoughts were cut off when you glanced down the sidewalk and between one of the buildings you could see...a faint light blue glow from the alleyway. You fluttered your eyes..'What the..what the hell was that?' You thought to yourself...you're probably just seeing things right?..
    You try to fight it but curiosity gets the better of you as you approach the alleyway to figure out what could've been the source of that light. You peaked into the alleyway to see nothing at first..until you looked down. On the ground you saw..familiar looking blue crystals scattered all over the ground, some bigger than others, some smaller than others.
    "What the heck?.." You whispered to yourself as you approached the crystals. You slowly knelt down to get a better look, some had jagged edges while some had pieces of rock on them..as if they were teared right out of the ground.
    You scooped up one of the bigger crystals.."It...looks like Energon.." you mumbled to yourself..of course you knew it wasn't but..it looked exactly like Energon from Transformers Prime! No (Y/N) it isn't Energon! It's probably some fake crystals...still they are quite pretty..
    You thought for a moment before deciding you would be taking the strange crystals home. You began scooping up handfuls of the crystals and sliding them into your pockets, there was so much! You weren't even sure you could carry it all back to the car, but you were determined to bring it back in one trip.
    Once you had picked up all the crystals, you had your hands, pockets, and bag full of them. Where did this stuff even come from? You heard a crackle above your head and looked up at the clouds to see flashes of light in them "Yep, time to go!"
    You ran back to your car and jumped into the front seat, you looked around the car for a place to put the crystals and laid your eyes on an empty grocery back on the floor in front of the passenger seat "Perfect!"
    Once you poured all the crystals into the bag you had almost a bag full of them "Jesus christ.." you mumbled as you put the bag on the floor of the car and began driving. No time to marvel at the crystals you needed to go!
    At this time the storm was starting to get rough. The trees were swaying, leaves and other debri were being tossed around in the air, and what's worse..the wind was blowing right against your car. In order to get home you had to directly against the wind..crap..
    You kept your eyes on the road and way from the crystals but..they still lingered in your mind..what were they?..
    As your eyes stayed on the road you saw..something bigger than the leaves being tossed around in the air, something grey with small wings...was it..a bird?...poor thing...Wait..is it..oh crap..It's coming RIGHT TOWARDS ME-
