Don't call me little [อย่า เรียก หนู ว่า ตัว เล็ก]
Chapter 14: The prison is at your fingertips.

After coming back from the field trip for the weekend, students of all years, whether senior or junior, are turning to review lessons as midterms approach in the coming days.

However, it is fortunate that the business communication major where Namtarn was studying will only have two exams during the midterm as for other subjects, they will accumulate points from projects assigned by their professors.

The small guy was sitting eating ice cream at his house and looking at his favorite cartoon movie. He laughs with joy, and his hand is full of food. It was hard to think that the same person would have exams in the next two days.

Namtarn laughs as his favorite cartoon character, the stupid cat, runs away from a mouse that was so many times smaller than him, and his older brother, who was reading in the same room, couldn't help but ask.

"Have you read your books? Aren't you going to have exams in the next two days?"

"I've finished reading them," Namtarn replied before turning his attention back to the television.

The little one has indeed read all his exam materials. Namtarn didn't say it because he didn't want to brag or intimidate anyone. Thanks to his diligence in studying, he continues to take notes from his professors regularly. This way, he won't get tired of repeating all the material because he only has to read the summary that he wrote down. As for the assignments given to him by the professors, he always completed it right after he was given the task without letting it all accumulate. This method leaves Namtarn much free time, and he also doesn't have to sit and read and disturb his resting time today.

"I'm jealous of Namtarn. When I'm at school, I should have focused on studying like my Nong," said Pung, who was sitting on the well-carpeted floor, turning the lesson sheets back and forth. Now, the living room of the Chan Nimit house has been transformed into a reading room for third-year students, Namkang, Mangkorn, and Pung, who were preparing for their final exams.

However, the little boy asked to join his brother since there's no one else in his house except the housekeeper and the security guard. Feeling lonely, the little one came to sit in the living room with his brother and friends. He wore a headphone so that the sound from the cartoon movie wouldn't bother the older brothers.

"If you can do so, just focus on the work you're doing. Will you be able to finish it today?" Namkang said to his best friend, while approaching him slowly.

"Sorry, I won't do it again." Pung raised his hands and talked in a funny tone.

"Hey, I've seen you like this for a year now," Namkang said with disgust.

"Yet you guys still help to tutor me and help me finish my assignment anyway. I love you." Pung's tall figure is ready to strike out and give the two close friends a sweet kiss without affection.

Pow!

"Oh my gosh, why did you kick me?" Pung yelled, stroking the area that was hit by his friend's kick.

"Shouldn't you read the book? Or else, I'll dip you in the fish pond once to grow some diligence into you."

"I'm sorry, P'Mangkorn. Nong Pung won't do it again," Pung said softly.

"Call me Mangkorn. And stop using that voice; you're giving me goosebumps."

"Yes, because I'm not Nong, uh, a junior."

"Fu**er," Mangkorn looked at the other person with a grim expression when Pung said things he shouldn't have said.

"What are you talking about?" When the voice of another friend, who had been quiet for a long time, spoke, it made Pung unable to continue. Who dares to repeat to his Nong what they were saying while he looked at Tom and Jerry.

"Well, nothing. Let's keep reading," Pung said before trying to open Namkang's study sheets.

Even when the living room becomes a battlefield, the little man wearing headphones and staring at the giant TV screen didn't even care. The only thing that could make the person return to his conscience would be...

"Oh no."

When his spoon hit the bottom of the cup, Namtarn took his eyes off of the television, looked at the ice cream cup in his hand, and found that he had run out of ice cream.

Namtarn removed his headphones and left the room with the slightest noise to avoid disturbing the brothers sitting attentively reading their textbooks.

The little guy walked into the kitchen and asked their house helper to give him a new cup of ice cream.

"P'Chompoo, do we have more ice cream? Namtarn wants to eat some more."

"Wait a minute."

"Eh, sorry, Nong Namtarn. I think that the cup you finished just now was the last one. I'll go buy some more, but for now, do N'Namtarn want to eat anything else?" Another housekeeper informed Namtarn. But a good boy like him understood and replied that he was okay before returning to the room with disappointment.

"What's wrong?" Namkang asked when he saw his younger brother return, showing an expression a little less bright than before.

"Well, Namtarn ran out of ice cream. Namtarn wants to eat ice cream... Oh, right. P'Mangkorn said he would take Namtarn next time to eat bingsu. So, let's buy bingsu for Namtarn, Namtarn wants to eat now." Suddenly, Namtarn remembered his mentor's promise from back then. The small guy turned to another person who was sitting and reading aloud.

"Namtarn, we're still studying, and besides, you already ate a lot today. Two cups is a lot. You'll get fat," Namkang said when he saw that his brother had started being selfish. (t/n: oh, no, I wouldn’t say that to Namtarn, Phi. But I agree, Namtarn really sounded like a spoiled 8yo kid here.)

"Hey, Namtarn isn't fat. I'm not talking to P'Namkang again." After saying that, he blinked stubbornly until his brother wanted to get up and hit him.

"Okay, I'll talk to him," Mangkorn said to his best friend before walking to Namtarn.

"What did you say? Do you want to eat bingsu?" Namtarn refused to answer when Mangkorn asked him.

"If you don't look at me nicely, I won't take you to eat bingsu," said Mangkorn. The small guy immediately raised his head to meet his mentor's eyes.

"Namtarn wants to eat bingsu."

"The older brothers are still busy reading books, okay. I'll take you to eat some bingsu after the exam. As for today, you already had two cups of ice cream, right? You mustn't eat too much of this kind of food. It'll make you fat. If you are overweight, your health will worsen too. Do you want to get sick?"

"No, Namtarn doesn't want to get sick." The small guy shook his head from side to side.

"Well, you had too much dessert for today. If you're not full yet, you should eat something else. It would be better to eat walnuts or seaweed, and as for the bingsu, we can go eat after the test," Mangkorn said softly.

"Okay, I will. But you have to promise that you'll take me to eat bingsu."

"Promise." Both of them intertwined their pinky fingers to confirm their promise. Once they did, the little boy left the room and grabbed a sandwich as suggested by his mentor.

"End of story, now let's continue studying."

Namkang nodded in response, although he wondered how did Mangkorn manage to calm Namtarn. But since they're running out of time to study, he didn't bother to ask the other party. He focused his attention on the book in front of him. Namkang said nothing to Mangkorn's action as he knew how to deal with a stubborn child. As for Pung? He turned to look at Mangkorn and let out a smile from the corner of his mouth.

And then came the midterm exam, the last day on campus for first-year students. As it was their last day, the freshmen were eager to take the exam, including Namtarn's group, who planned to meet to review the final exam material together, under the faculty building.

"Wanna go celebrate once we finish the exam?" Muay asked as everyone concentrated on the papers in their hands.

"Let's go. I like it when you come up with things like this." Jah replied brightly until her friends secretly thought that the celebration plan is more important than the exam.

"Oh, right. The contest team has a long holiday until next week," Meen said.

"We all get it."

"What about Namtarn?" The big girl in the group turned to ask her little friend, who was sitting silently, refusing to answer.

"I'm sorry, but you'll have to excuse me. I have made an appointment with my Phi."

"P'Mangkorn? I often see you together these days," Jah said jokingly.

"Yeah, P'Mangkorn will take me to eat bingsu. But how do you know that I am often with P'Mangkorn?" Namtarn asked.

"Oh, don't you know? The Namtarn and Namkang fan page often posted pictures of Namtarn and P'Mangkorn. And did you know about Namtarn and Meen's page?" Jah's gaze went to the artificial Moon to squeeze more answers from him.

"Ha? Uh, I don't know, maybe the administrator has accidentally deleted it?" Meen replied stuttering, which was suspicious.

"Wait, we also have a page? Why didn't I know about it at all?" Asked Namtarn, while his friends were ambushing Meen. It wouldn't be strange if Namtarn didn't know about all this because even if he has a Facebook account, he acted almost as if he didn't have one. He only logged in to the app when the professor published an assignment on it. Namkang never mentioned anything to his younger brother as well, so Namtarn didn't know that he had a fan page for him and his brother.

"Oh, this one is the Namtarn and Namkang page." Muay gave her phone to Namtarn. But it wasn't until he accepted it that a loud voice greeted him, causing his attention to shift to the source of voice.

"Hello kids, you're going to take the professor's exam this afternoon, right?"

"Hello. Yes, P'Pung"

"Yes, we’re very stressed. Do you have any advice? Please help us," the freshmen responded warmly.

"Haha, I'm afraid I can't help you, kids. This course's test consists of fifty questions, plus the professor changed the questions every year. To conclude, if you focus on studying, you should be able to do it," Pung said as he laughed. He doesn't know how to advise the freshmen because he barely passed the test for this subject himself.

"Namtarn, Namkang sent you this drink" While everyone was interested in their senior's advice, at the back, Mangkorn handed Namtarn a delicious drink that his close friend had given to the other party to deliver.

"Oh, where's my Phi?" The little man tilted his neck, wondering where his brother had gone.

"The professor wanted to talk to him. He wanted to come here as well, but since he has to go with the professor, he asked me to give you this milkshake instead," Mangkorn replied.

"Oh, thank you ..." when the little one was about to get closer.

Knock.

"Aaaak," the two girls exclaimed.

Suddenly one of the students walking past their desk stepped on a candy wrapper and almost slipped. But the student hit Mangkorn's muscular body, causing part of the milkshake to spill onto Namtarn's shirt.

"Ah, sorry. I slipped and stepped on the wrapper." The boy tried to apologize while still in shock. But nobody thought that it was his mistake since it was an accident that nobody wanted to happen.

"It's okay," said the little man. But, since the spilled glass contained milkshake, it made Namtarn felt cold.

"Namtarn, we better hurry and wash it. If you leave it like that, it's probably going to leave a stain, and it'll be harder to wash later." Meen immediately responded.

"I don't need you here, Meen. I'll take Namtarn myself to clean up. You can go first. Come on, Namtarn. I'll take you to the toilet." Everyone at the table was shocked at Mangkorn's words. The first two sentences he said to Meen sound right. But as his close friend, the last sentence doesn't sit right with Pung, P'Mangkorn. Pung thought to himself while imitating the voice Namtarn use when he's talking to Mangkorn.

"It's really sticky, just like Meen said." Walking to the toilet, the little person grumbled as the spilled milkshake began to absorb into his skin.

"Wait, we have to wipe your shirt first. Fortunately, the milkshake doesn't leave any color, or it would look worse than this. But you have to go buy a new shirt and get changed right after you finished your exam," Mangkorn said, pulling a handkerchief from his pocket.

"Yeah, let's go buy one. And while we're at it, we could go eat bingsu, ah." The little boy didn't forget about their appointment today.

"Yes, but let's not go like this. You'll feel awkward," Mangkorn secretly laughed as he thinks it was cute that the little one was only interested in his bingsu.

The height difference makes the taller one lean over to wipe the other one's shirt. As the little one stood still and let the older one clean him, without stubbornness and without moving.

"Oh, it's cold."

"Hold on a bit."

"Namtarn wants to clean the inside too, ah, it's all sticky."

"Okay, let me wash the handkerchief first." The older man turned to the water tap. He managed to wash the handkerchief until he was sure it was clean and gave it back to the younger boy.

"Hey, uh...what are we going to do?"

White. Super white. That's the first thing that popped into Mangkorn's head as soon as he turned around.

His belly was slightly raised as a good eater would have. In addition to that, his waist was so thin that you wouldn't think it's a man's waist if you don't see the upper part of it, the lovely, flat chest with light brown crests contrasting with his white skin, making Mangkorn gulp loudly as he finds Namtarn who is now topless.
(T/n: okay, tbh this scene is awkward for me. I mean, all this time, the kid behaved like an elementary schooler, particularly in this chapter, and Mangkorn also treated him like he would treat a child, and now he’s getting sexually aroused? Smh.)

"It's sticky. I'm going to wipe it off," said the little man, very annoyed. So, what is he going to be looking at? Mangkorn thought to himself.

"You don't have to take it all off, here clean it first. And then hurry up and get dressed. I'll go to the bathroom for a bit," said Mangkorn, shoving the piece of cloth into the younger person's hand before quickly escaping to the bathroom.

The little man looked at his mentor, puzzled, but then he took the handkerchief that was already soaked in water and finished drying his body.

As for his Phi, after running away to the bathroom,
"Damn it, why is my heart beating like this?" Mangkorn raised his hand over his chest before discovering that it was beating as hard as ever.

Interestingly, since he was born, this had never happened. But just by looking at Nong's upper body part, his own body showed such symptoms.

"So, are you cursed?" But all the answers became clear when Mangkorn looked down into the center of his own body, finding out something is piling up, making his pants bulge visibly.

No, he's a minor, and he's your best friend's younger brother. You can't get in the mood with this boy! If you have the wrong idea about this kid, you'll go to jail, Mangkorn. He thought to himself.

In the end, Mangkorn had to sit on the toilet, trying to meditate by inhaling and exhaling as deeply as possible, even if the atmosphere was unfavorable, and although he was suffering from holding back his 'junior', he didn't want to get excited until he had the time to do so.

Mangkorn had to sit there until something calmed down, and that's why he almost missed his own exam too.

"The exam is over!" After passing through the entrance to the exam room, Meen screamed with joy. The professor who was sitting in the room gave him a vindictive look as a warning.

"You seem to be happy? Did you get all the answers right?" Jah said.

"I don't know. I finished it, and that makes me happy. Now what? The exam is over. Let's go find something to eat." If someone had seen Meen in this condition, no one would have voted for him in the Moon/Star contest.

"Good luck, everyone. I'm going to go downstairs and wait for P'Mangkorn first." Namtarn declined his friend's offer.

"You guys have fun eating together," Muay replied.

Namtarn left immediately. And of course, the little person didn't understand what his friend meant when she told him to eat.

When he finished saying goodbye to his friends, he sat and waited for his mentor in the area under the building, where he agreed to meet the other party.

Today, Mangkorn offered to take him to find something to eat in the city and then take him back to his house later. And since Namkang had an appointment to speak with his advisor after his test today, there would only be Mangkorn and Namtarn.

4:30 pm.

The little boy sat staring at his watch before discovering that half an hour had already passed. The little boy immediately set out to find Mangkorn, but there was only an answer signal at the end of the line.

Namtarn then hangs up the call. He thought the other party might have other business to attend to, so he was busy answering the phone. No worries, Namtarn can wait, because today he will go and eat delicious food.

Whenever Namtarn went with P'Mangkorn, he always eats delicious food, unlike when he goes with P'Namkang, where he can only eat a little. So Namtarn patiently waits.

5:00 pm

The sky outside began to turn pale orange. And because it is the exam period, the university doesn't have any classes at night. That's why the number of people left under the faculty building was not much, including Namtarn, who was still waiting.

"Let's go back."

"Eh, P'Namkang? What's wrong?" Namtarn asked, confused as he sees his brother's face.

"Oh, did Mangkorn not tell you? Today he had a very urgent matter. That's why he can't go with you. Well, since this happened, let's hurry home. I've finished talking with my professor as well. Mom is also cooking for today's meal" Namtarn instinctively followed his brother to the parking lot.

Thoughts come to the petite guy’s mind like a torrent of water. And the feeling he got the most was disappointment.

While on the other side.

"Sorry, I just finished my assignment, Mangkorn," a girl quickly apologized to the person who called her during her study hours.

"That's okay, Fern. I can wait."

"So, what do you wanna talk about?"

"Well, can we go talk in the condo?" Mangkorn replied in a polite tone. (T/n: Thais usually referred to their apartment building as 'Condo'.)

"Your condo?" She asked again, unsure because the other party hadn't been in her condo in a while. Asking to go to the apartment, she couldn't help but be surprised.

"Yes, it is more convenient to talk about this."

Then, the two of them walked towards the Mangkorn car parked not far from the faculty.

The lady sat next to the driver as she usually does, before the luxurious car headed straight for the 'familiar' man's condo. He believed that only this woman could help him recover from the confusing feelings in him.
