The Last Piece I : Call of the Past

"Ano kaya ang magandang gawin ngayon ay nakabalik na ako dito?" Tanong ko sa sarili.

I'm getting bored here in the hotel I'm staying. I arrived from London 4 days ago at wala akong ibang may pinagsabihan. Not even my family.  Kakauwi rin lang ng ibang mga kaibigan ko from the other countries. And just like me, wala rin may nakakaalam. I don't even get why they have done this. What I mean is, sekreto lamang ang pagbabalik namin dito. Pero okay lang, wala naman atang masama doon. I would even rather just wanna keep it a secret.

Knowing my friends they are somewhat conservative and likes everything more in private. Kaso nakapagtataka lang. Bakit nga?

Ah! why don't we treat our self na lang? Kaso hindi ko na masyadong kabisado ang lugar dito sa pilipinas dahil sa matagal akong nanatili sa UK. I want to have fun tonight, or more like go on a bar at magpalipas ng oras doon? Naah, I'll get bored after. Hindi naman ako pwedeng magpasama sa mga kaibigan ko dahil siguro ay nagpapahinga sila. I only talked to them through video call and chats coz' they're busy and we still haven't plan about seeing each other. They're young business owners at hindi rin lang naman nag tagal ang pagbalik nila dito.

I was about to go to bed when my phone rang. I went to my mini table where my phone is at sinagot ang tawag. It was a call from an unregistered number. Or more like a a number sa telepono. Wait? I never have an appointments pa naman. Even if I was hesitating, I accepted the call.

"This is Ms. Magsaysay on the phone speaking," Panimula ko.

"Ms. Magsaysay it's nice to talk to you again" a voice of a fair lady answered. Wait why is her voice familiar?

"Ms. Samantha, this is the receptionist from Shangri La Hotel, I would like to inform you that there will be an upcoming evening party para sa inyo at sa iyong mga kaibigan, a welcoming party po daw," Sabi pa nito. Tumaas ang kilay ko sa sinabi niya.

I was shock to hear that. Wait? may naka alam na na bumalik na kami sa pinas? But my friends just assured that no one knew. Hindi naman sa forever hindi namin sasabihin. Like they're a business tycoons at kilalang-kilala so it's impossible for them to hide it.

"Oh! may nakakalaam na pala? maari ko bang malaman kung sino?" umalis ako sa higaan at pumunta sa terrace. I took the glass of champagne at naf lakad palabas. I have a person in mind and I'm sure siya talaga ang naka alam. Knowing her we can't hide anything.

"Your boss si TOP, the head of TOP tower " she uttered. Just as I thought. It's HER.

"Siya po ang nag sabi sa amin na bigyan po kayo ng home coming party, na laman niya po ang pagdating ninyo, that's why she invited everyone from your agencies, some friends of yours, and some high rank people in the city." She happily said.

"Si TOP talaga, anyways, they agreed?" Tanong ko ulit.

"Yes maam! we already contacted them about it and they agreed with it naman, actually excited nga sila eh dahil mag kikita kayo ulit at magsasama-sama, especially the heir of the Del Ormano's, he's the one who has a looong conversation with me while on call dahil excited sa party." Sabi niya as she chuckled.

"Si Caspian pa ba mag papahuli?" knowing Amanda he's first on the list when it comes to party like this. No, kahit mud party pa yan ay sigurado akong sasabongin niya.

"I'll see you then" sabi ko.

"Sure Ms. Magsaysay see you soonest, this weekend ang party 5:00 sa main stairway po magaganap" Dagdag pa niya.

"Thank you for informing, I'm gladly accepting the invitation. Thank you so much and I'll see you soon." I answered again sabay off ng call namin.

I went back and sat in front of my bed at kinuha ko ang Macbook. I click the power button at minadaling tinawagan ang grupo. After some few rings, they all answered it. Sabay sabay ha!
I guess some of them are still in there penthouses and some stayed in the hotel. Las casa de Navidad is still far from Shangri La.
