This chapter is entirely based on chapter 90 of All The Young Dudes as well as chapter 28 of The Order of The Phoenix, Snape's worst memory.

June 3rd

Ariene was outside smoking a post-exam cigarette, grateful for the familiar smoke filling her lungs. OWLs had been much easier than she imagined and she got through them quickly and easily, but she was exhausted from the stress-filled environment she had been in for the past week. Whether it was the tension between Marlene and Ariene, the increased tormenting towards half-bloods and muggle-borns, or purely anxiety about the exams, Ariene found herself completely burned out. She put the cigarette between her lips as she took off her jacket and tied it around her waist. It was definitely warming up at Hogwarts, which worried Ariene more than it should; it meant she would have to go away soon. Back to Genet Manor. Ariene brought the fag away from her lips, exhaling another plume of smoke in the air. Some first-year Slytherins made a dramatic cough as they passed her and she rolled her eyes. She raised an eyebrow as she caught some commotion nearby. Holy shit. Ariene put her cigarette out against the wall and let it drop to the floor and she walked over to where Snape was writhing on the floor, pink foam coming from his mouth

"James, what the fuck?" Ariene pushed past the crowd of people to see James pointing his wand at Snape.

"Ariene," James said, acknowledging her.

"What are you doing?" Ariene asked.

"Getting revenge."

"James, stop."

"Go away, blood traitor," Snape spat. Ariene ignored him.

"Ariene, leave him be," Sirius said. "The little creep deserves it."

"I know that, but in front of all these people?" Ariene said. That's when Lily pushed through the crowd.

"Leave him ALONE!" She shrieked, her voice shrill with rage.

"James," Remus warned, quietly.

"Alright, Evans?" James asked, coolly

"Leave him alone," Lily repeated. "What's he done to you?"

"Want us to make a list?" Peter asked, stepping forward.

"Well, it's more the fact that he exists, if you know what I mean," James said, earning laughs from the crowd.

"You think you're funny, but you're just an arrogant, bullying toerag, Potter. Leave him alone." Lily had harsh ice in her voice. James paled for a second, before glancing at Snape again.

"I will if you go out with me, Evans," James said. Ariene raised her eyebrows at this and made a surprised laugh. "Go on...Go out with me, and I'll never lay a wand on old Snivelly again." Ariene turned to Snape, who spat soap suds out of his mouth and inched closer to his wand, which was several feet away.

"I wouldn't go out with you if it was a choice between you and the giant squid," Lily spat.

"OY!" Sirius called quickly. Snape pointed his wand at James and a bright light came from it before a gash appeared on the side of James's face. Blood splattered his robes, and droplets fell on Ariene's arm as well. James whipped around to Snape and pointed his wand at him. A second later, Snape was in the air upside down, and his robes fell over to reveal his legs and a pair of graying underpants. Cheers erupted from the crowd, and Sirius, James and Peter laughed. Ariene turned to Lily who was completely furious.

"Let him down!"

"Certainly," James said, before jerking his wand upward, making Snape fall to the ground. Snape quickly got up and raised his wand.
