A couple months later.
I was in the car with Kathleen. we were driving to get pizza. when a car ran a red light and hit my side of the car. I just a remember pain in my right side and Kathleen screaming for help.
I woke up a little in the hospital with mom running beside me holding my hand and saying I love you. she was crying.
Later I kept hearing voices but I couldn't open my eyes or move. I felt like I was screaming but know one could hear me.
I heard Kathleen's voice. she was crying . "I'm so sorry Mac. I should have watched for that guy."
Then I hear mom tell "Kathleen it's not your fault. go home help your father with the others. I will call if anything happens."
Then the door closes.
All I could think is am I going to die without telling mama I love her.
