CHAPTER EIGHT

FIANCE'

"Antok ka pa?" Sunset asked me when I rested my head on her shoulder. Busy siyang sumisimsim ng kape. It's still early in the morning. Well, it's only 6:30 in the morning.

"Te, libre mo 'ko." Ungot ni Midnight. He's sitting across Sunset. I just shook my head and closed my eyes. Others, Tricia, Jaimme, Stanley and Justine are buying their breakfast. Christine on the other hand was having a moment with Jethro on the other table.

Well...we're here in the university at this early hour not to buy breakfast or anything.

Nandito kami para magkopyahan.

Later's the dealine for our activity paper, and here we are, fresh galing sa inuman kagabi kaya ngarag ngayong umaga para makapagpasa on time. Sunset looks chill. Kilala ko 'to. Nagpapanggap lang 'tong walang gawa pero meron. Nandaya 'to sa inuman kagabi e. She seems like she's drinking but I know she's smarting out everyone. I know it since I don't drink that much.

"Ulol, anong libre?! Kabibigay lang ni mama nung lunes." Sagot ni Sunset.

"Pinang-date ko kay Hayme—"

"Tangina mo, lalandi ka na nga lang, out of budget pa. Ako pa gigipitin." I chuckled upon hearing Sunset's answer to Midnight. Dahan-dahan kong kinuha ang kamay niya at pinisil iyon. I heard her sigh before she moved. She opened her bag, and pulled out her wallet.

"Sagot mag-drive mamaya pauwi! Animal na 'to!"

They exchanged banters, and I just saw Midnight running away from Sunset. It was exact seven in the morning when we all gather in the table. All of us was busy answering our activity paper. Kaniya-kaniya kami ng latop.

Nag silipin ko si Sunset ay inaayos na lang niya ang format ng kaniya, but she was also active answering other's questions regarding the activity. We exchanged insights regarding the topic. Kapag may magandang nasabi ang iba na sagot, Sunset will be editing her answers, and adding some spices on it. Ganoon din ang ginawa ko. It was more like a group study.

"Hmmm... ano sagot niyo sa number 45?" Sunset asked and looked at us.

"Anong tanong?" Tricia asked.

"Do you agree na transparency ang solution sa corruption?" I said.

"Prof Dela Cruz told us that it was transparency, di'ba?" Christine asked.

Sunset nodded but she doesn't seem to agree with it. She bit her lips before looking at us once again. "I...just don't get it. It seems insignificant...di ko alam ang term. Do you agree with transparency as solution?"

Napaisip ko. My answer on our activity paper is that, I was agreeing with the claim.

"Oo naman."
