I sniffle as silently as I can, burying my face into the couch cushion. Tears are streaming down my face and I bite on my lip to stop my cries. We've never had a fight this bad, in fact I was close to packing my bags and staying at a hotel for the night.

Pondering that decision once more, I'm picked up bridal style in his arms and carried back into our bedroom. He lays me down on his chest, cuddling me tightly, running his fingers tenderly through my hair.

"I don't wanna talk to you right now." I snap and he wipes away my tears blankly, not looking down to give me eye contact.

"That's fine. I'm not exactly in the mood to talk to you either. But I'm not letting you sleep on the couch, especially if you're trying to sleep alone? No. We don't do that. Be mad all you want but I refuse to let you be by yourself right now." I go to argue but he cuts me off.

"I thought you said you didn't wanna talk. Be quiet and go to sleep. No more fighting tonight."
