CHAPTER FOUR

"You will not believe me...He is so...umm...charming."

Mi hi bit her lip as she touched her forehead for what seemed like the hundredth time in the last couple of hours that she had been in her room.

"No shit. He is Kim Taehyung, afterall! Have you seen how handsome that human is!?"

Her best friend and the only other person that knew Jeon Mi hi like the back of her hand, Lisa, spoke as she shrieked through the phone.

"Lis, I am so dumb. I had no idea who he was! I mean I even asked him for his name. And when he actually told me...it was like sirens in my head! I knew the name but had never taken the initiative to actually go look him up on the net." She ranted exasperatedly.

"...Lucky bitch." The reply came in two words leaving Mi hi in a mess of giggles.

"And to top it all of, he kissed you good bye~" She sang from the other end making Mi hi's cheeks blaze up again as heat rushed up to them with impending embarrassment.

"You make it sound so lewd. It was just a peck on the forehead." She muttered, all the while wishing if it could happen again. Although Mi hi knew that it was surely not something that was right for two people meeting each other for the first time but she still wished she could experience that surprised awe again. She would surely meet him again, won't she?

"Don't lie to me and tell me that you are not imagining a full on make out session with that handsome devil!" Lisa spoke making Mi hi gasp at her.

"Lisa! Oh my god! I am not thinking about that at all!!" She panicked.

"Yeah...yeah. Whatever. If I were you, I would have probably made plans of hooking up already." She said making Mi hi shake her head at how brazen her friend was.

"You are impossible Lisa." She sighed.

"Sex is not impossible. It is very possible between to consenting adults and I am like, ready to go on—"

"Okay! Okay...alright. I get it." Mi hi brought her explanation to an end as she put her hands on her cheek to cool them down.

"I hope you are coming to the book sign day after tomorrow." She asked making languid circles on the bed as she laid in her side with her hand holding the cellphone to her ear.

"I won't miss it for the world, Mi hi." Lisa voiced making her smile brightly.

"Love you, Lis."

"Bye, Babygirl! Love you too."

"You done there?" The sudden sound just behind her made Mi hi squeal as she rolled onto her back to see Jungkook holding a hand to his mouth as he held his laughter in.

"You scared me!" She shouted with her voice still soft as she threw an accent pillow at him which he easily caught hold of.

"Were you listening to my conversation with Lisa?" She asked as her brother laid down beside her, comfortably before he sighed out in instant relief.

"I wish I had come earlier to eavesdrop but sadly no. I came when you were bidding each other bye." He said holding Mi hi's hand and playing with her fingers.

"What is it?...You look tired." She said making Jungkook's smile to falter a bit as he shook his head at her.

"You tell me. You were going to meet the man who had asked for your hand in marriage to dad. What happened to that?" He asked making her sigh as she dropped her head on the pillow.

"He stood me up." She said making Jungkook stop his play. Mi hi slowly looked up to see the frown that deepened on his forehead which meant he was going to spew fire anytime now.
