Spencer's POV

When I got back to my apartment, JJ was waiting outside.

"I'm so sorry, Spence."

"It's not your fault," I grunted, flinging my door open.

We both sat across from each other in silence. It was excruciating.

"This is it then." JJ sighed.

"Huh?" I finally looked up from the harrow boning pattern on the floor.

"Spence..." JJ sighed. She wanted me to be the one to realise it.

I slowly exhaled, my voice shaking. "This isn't going to work."

"You can't forget about her," JJ deducted.

"She... She helped me so much. I can't have her not be a part of my life. And there is only me way to have her around."

The pair of us sat hopelessly for hours until the sun rose.
