Mishti was in a good mood that morning. Her long cherished dream of doing something for the weaker section of the society was coming true. Through the collaboration with various NGOs, she was planning to not only give employment to the needy but also support them in fulfilling their dreams of a respectable life.

As she was descending the stairs at 7 am that morning, she did not expect her dadu would be up.

"Good morning mishti beta. Come have a breakfast" he wished her with a broad smile

"Good morning dadu. But aap itni jaldi kyun uth gaye? You don't need to be at office until 10 o'clock"

"Kyunki mujhe pata tha if I am not awake, you will skip breakfast. And I don't want that. Chalo, nashta kar lo"

Rolling her eyes at her stubborn grandfather who acted more like her mother, mishti proceeded to have breakfast

Mother...that reminded her of her badi ma..

Deciding she needs to visit her badi ma and bade papa this evening, she started her day

"Mom, kab take aise chalega? I miss bhai around. Please talk to him and ask him to come home" Kunal was talking rather pleading Meenakshi rajvansh.

"Don't you trust me beta? I know my son very well, he won't come home until Mishti forgives him. And I know she will, very soon, from what I have heard from Lakshman, her grandfather is set to unite them-"

"What? Mom, you can't do that. You are still having Lakshman check on them? How could you?" Kunal couldn't believe what he was hearing, and he was finally able to understand why his elder brother used to be so angry at their mom. She was unbelievable control freak and didn't even stop to think about how this affected her own kids!

"Don't use that tone with me kunal, mat bhulo tum apni maa se baat kar rahe ho. Aur mujhe kya karna chahiye aur kya nahi mujhe acche se pata hai." meenu spat

Kunal had had enough. In last six months, he had worked day and night to salvage da vansh travel's business and he understood it was his hard work that will ensure success, not any borrowed money from Mishti's grandfather or anyone else.

With that thought, now he needed to ensure to rectify what began the troubles in bhai's life. Had it not been for him and their mother's plan to bring Abir and Mishti together for her money, this wouldn't have happened and his bhai would be happily married by now

"Good morning Mishti ma'm." Rajiv, mishti's PA greeted her as she entered the office

"Good morning Rajiv. Is the party here?" she asked enquiring about the NGO director that she was supposed to meet

"Yes ma'm. He is waiting in conference room no. 3, since last 10 minutes" Rajiv supplied

"Oh, I will be there in 5 minutes, please make him comfortable and get someone to serve tea and refreshments to him" saying so Mishti ran to quickly collect her notes from her office. She had a good agenda prepared for the meeting and couldn't wait to start it

In the meantime, her dadu and badi ma-bade papa were having a phone call,

"Suresh ji, sab thik toh hoga na? Meri bacchi sambhal payegi khud ko?" Badi ma was worried for Mishti

"Don't worry Rajshri ji, aapne aur Vishambhar ji ne bohot acchese bada kiya hai mishti ko. She will handle this very well. And if all goes well, we might get what we want"

"I just want her to be happy Suresh ji, nothing else" Bade papa said and everyone agreed. In their minds, they were praying that everything should go well today

He was very nervous for the meeting. He had arrived a good half an hour earlier and then spent some time outside stalling going in the place where she worked.

He had heard so much about her taking over her grandfather's business and making headlines with new achievements. Her recent achievement which coincidentally got covered the same day as his, made him proud of her.

But that didn't help that they had not met in past six months, of course the brief encounter in the restaurant didn't count

Just then the door opened

"Good morning and I am sor-" and she stopped, as he turned in his chair which had its back at the door. He stood up, of course he knew this will be her reaction

"Good Morning Mishti" he said smiling genuinely

Mishti was confused. How could this happen? How did he get in here? Why didn't she know?

"What are you doing here Abir?" she asked angrily

"I am here for the meeting today mishti, I head Asha Kiran NGO" he replied patiently, as he was already prepared

And then she remembered, her PA had tried to tell her about it but she was in a hurry to leave the office. In her excitement for the meeting, she didn't even look up the name of the director!

But now it was too late and time to face what was in front of her...or rather who was! It was not time to back off and she wouldn't.

So keeping a smiling face, she proceeded to take her seat

"Sure, thanks for coming here Abir. Or do you prefer me calling you Mr Rajvansh?"

Abir was impressed how quickly she composed herself, while his own heart was still racing.

"Abir is fine and I hope I can call you Mishti" he sincerely asked

"Yes, that is ok but I also want to ensure that if we work this out then I want us to behave in complete professional manner here. I don't like bringing any personal matters to work and I expect the same from everyone I work with"

Abir was once again impressed with the way she was stating her demands, which were fair. In fact he himself was like that. Although he was here for a personal reason too, but he had taken a vow to let things happen naturally. For now, just being around her was enough

"Of course Mishti, I understand. That won't be an issue. Asha Kiran is very close to me and if this project works out, it will mean a lot to us"

Rest of their meeting went smoothly with Abir explaining how his NGO gives shelter to homeless women and supports kids from poor background and Mishti was impressed. She also then presented her thoughts about having NGO kids and ladies working on food packaging and at some level, food preparations which would be a new initiative under 'Agarwal foods'. Abir liked the idea, although he had some suggestions and conditions. Like he didn't want the education of kids to be stopped and mishti told him how she herself didn't want that.

At the end both were satisfied with each other's work and Mishti told him her team will let him know. However, he knew it was more of a formality, as they both could see them working together would be a great deal! They were seeing a totally new side of each other which they were alien to and that was a good surprise.

Maybe they will be able to pull this off? that was the lingering thought in both of their minds as they shook hands at the end of the meeting
