Namjoon suddenly barged inside the room, causing Minji and Eunji to flinch at the sudden surprise. "W-What happened?" He panted like he ran miles.
"We ran when we saw mom rambling something to dad as soon as we came from the university. It looked like she was angry cause she suddenly shouted 'go and take care of your damn sister'." Hoseok said while walking inside.
He saw Eunji trembling while sitting on the bed. She was wearing a black tank top and her lower body was covered with the blanket. Jin was sitting in front of her while holding her arm, applying something on her arm. He walked closer and his eyes went wide when he saw full of her body covered with purple marks. Bruises.
"Oh my god..." He breathed out in shock. He looked at her face and saw it didn't have bruises but dried tears were there. He gently grabbed her arm and scanned her honey-coloured skin. Their skin colours match so much and one can even misunderstand his skin, the only difference is that those delicate arms were filled with bruises.
"Who did this...?" Namjoon asked while standing beside Hoseok.
"Mom..." Jungkook sighed as he was leaning against the wall. Jimin sat on the floor with his back against the wall. Yoongi was sitting on the chair with Minji on his lap, who was silently playing with his fingers and rings with a pout rested on her face while looking down.
Eunji stayed silent while looking at her lap, letting Jin treat her arm. "Are you okay?" Hoseok moved his hand on her head, which she shook without any answer.
Namjoon gulped and asked, "What actually happened?"
"It happened because of me...I'm sorry." Minji suddenly spoke up.
"Hey, it's not your fault. We were just playing." Yoongi reassured her while patting her head.
"Minji and Yoongi were playing and she kind of hit him...mom saw it and got angry. We stopped her from hitting Minji but we caught her hitting Eunji, basically letting her anger out on her." Jin explained while carefully treating her fresh wounds.
"I told her to stay away from both of them and we will take care of them like their expenses, she doesn't need to involve with them...I don't whether I did it right. I spoke that in anger..." Jungkook looked down. Feeling a tap on his shoulder, he looked up and saw Namjoon.
"Don't worry, you did what you thought was right." Namjoon gave him a reassuring smile.
"It isn't difficult to do it though...it kind of means she won't involve with us much now, right?" Taehyung asked.
"Can we talk about it later?" Eunji spoke up after staying quiet the whole time since her mom left.
"Sure." Namjoon nodded.
"Thank you." She bit her lower lip, controlling her whine because of the cream burning her bruises.
"Why is your face alright but not your body...?" Hoseok asked while gently putting her arm down back on her lap.
"Mom doesn't hit me on the face cause it will make everyone suspicious...she is the one who told me to wear long sleeves clothes in the order to hide the marks. Even in the hot summer, I have to wear long sleeves." She explained.
"I can't imagine staying in long sleeves in hot summer. I usually roam around shirtless at those times." Jungkook scrunched his nose.
Eunji looked at him and said, "Don't roam half-naked in front of me." Her gaze then landed on his bare arms. His tattoos were visible because of his cut sleeves shirt. "Can I touch them?" She pointed at his arm.
"Huh?" Jungkook tilted his head.
"Your tattoos. I have never seen someone in real life wearing them except you. I wanna touch them." She felt a little shy after she said that. Jungkook didn't say anything and stood straight, walked to her and stretched his right arm towards her. She carefully brought her hand up and traced her fingers on the eye tattoo. "Wow, it's so detailed."
"I know right." Jungkook chuckled.
"Did dad allow you to get one at 17 only?" She looked at him with curiosity but he just shrugged. "Do you all have one?"
"No. Only me and Jimin hyung got." Jungkook answered and dropped his hand to the side when she removed her fingers from his arm.
"I also want one but I think I'm too young. Also, I'm scared of needles." She nervously chuckled.
"Can you remove the blanket from your legs? Cover your private region with it." Jin instructed. She nodded and removed the blanket from her lower area but still kept it on her higher area even though she wore safety shorts. "They are bad on legs." Jin pursed his lips and started to apply the cream.
"She hit me more on legs cause I still need hands to work- ouch!!" She yelped when he accidentally applied pressure.
"Sorry." Jin nervously smiled.
"Minji told us that there is a reason why your mom hit you but she doesn't know it. Can you tell us?" Namjoon asked. Eunji looked at him and then at Minji and back at Namjoon. He kind of understood and looked at Yoongi. Yoongi looked at Namjoon, who glanced at Minji.
"Minji, do you want to know how I make music? The one you heard that time was made by me." Yoongi tapped Minji's shoulder.
"Yes!" She nodded with a big smile. He stood up, carrying Minji in his arms and walked out of the room.
"Okay." Eunji sighed. "The thing is that mom blames us for leaving dad...Dad started to demand a son and when mom got pregnant, everyone thought that it would be a boy but instead, a girl was born, which was Minji. Dad argued with mom and gave her two choices. Give us in adoption or else he will leave. Mom took the first one. I thought she loved us but after a few years, she blamed us. She started to hit me for a small thing and as the years passed, her hits got unnecessary and harsher and here you see." She explained in short.
"So, it all happened because of this gender shit?" Jimin asked, she nodded.
"Can't believe it still happens in the 21st century." Taehyung rolled his eyes.
"There are a lot of unexpected things that we don't know still happens." Her words hit six of them hard. Most of them glanced at each other except Jin, who tried not to look suspicious. Lucky for them, her eyes were on her arm getting treated by Jin, so she didn't see their actions.
"Y-You are right." Hoseok bit his lower lip.
"Why do you sound nervous?" She looked at Hoseok, who avoided her eyes.
"He is just worried about those things." Namjoon tried to defend his elder brother.
