Note: This will be a short chapter.

Pandora didn't recognize this place. She wasn't in the Underworld. It seemed more like an Egyptian tomb. A cold yet soft female laughter filled the cavern, chilling Pandora to the bone. "All is fair in love and war," an even colder female voice said. Pandora realized that this was the same woman. "But what is war without love, hmm?"

"Y-You cannot win," another voice said. This one was warmer, more loving, and reminded Pandora of her mother and grandparents. But she her voice was trembling, meaning she was terrified or she was cold. "Gaea is gone. You've already-"

"Shh, goddess, Gaea still lives! Although her essence is scattered, I will complete what Gaea started." The room grew colder. "Now tell me: what is war without love?"

The other lady didn't say anything. After awhile, she said, "There is no purpose in war if you have nothing that you love. You'll be fighting for nothing."

"Go on," the other lady said.

"Friends will turn against friends. Lovers will show hatred towards each other. Nothing but hatred will be in our world."

"Exactly. If we eliminate you, love will not exist. The petty Romans and Greeks will turn against each other, and we will finish them. Of course, that will mean a prophecy..." Pandora could almost hear her smirk.

"Love is eternal!"

"Quiet!" A burst of wind filled the cavern. Pandora couldn't move. "This goddess will not lure you, demigod." The voice was directed at her. "Of course, there are other ways of bringing you here." Pandora could now see what was in the room, but it stopped her heart. Her mother was chained up in a boxed in room. Her tanned skin was now pale. Pandora's voice wouldn't work. "This room is trapped," the cold lady said. "It will unleash a curse among you. The gods think you can help? I will prevent that. An endless sleep for you..."

Although Pandora enjoyed sleeping, the thought of sleeping forever terrified her even more. "I will be waiting..."

Her mother looked up. "Pandora?" she said weakly, unlike her warm, sweet voice. Pandora saw her eyes were bloodshot and teary. Her black hair was choppy. "Don't come for me! Please!"

"Mom?" Pandora croaked.

She felt herself freezing before waking up in cold sweat.
