TAKING SHOWERS THESE days was a complete privilege and she was the most grateful when it came to that and for having meeting Dale and his wonderful RV. It was a small little bathroom but at least she had some privacy and some cool water otherwise she would have to go down the quarry to wash herself and that seemed like a complete disruption of her privacy.

So, because that afternoon it was a free pass, she took advantage and showered the dirt and heat away. It was extremely hot outside today, the sun was burning their skins and the heat was unbearable, she couldn't believe how much she missed winter. But as she more thought about it, she dreaded the day winter comes.

She wondered how they would do to survive through it, the snow and the low temperature, they didn't have a house anymore, only thin tents and few coats for them all. She didn't even want to think about those times, hopefully they would find a bigger roof, maybe walls.

She wrung her hair with the towel, already changed into her own clothes, a simple tank top and a pair of thin jeans, thank god. She pulled the tower over her shoulder and went to step down the stairs when a body sitting there stopped her from doing so, Shane's back was given to her, he was staring ahead, thoughtfully.
